  • I love this band. Saw them when they came to Melbourne in 1976. Went down to take a pic. Lowell looked right into my eyes. It was a moment I will never ever forget. Soul brother you are still sadly missed.

  • Lowell George was just great at this Pinkpop show in Holland.. Fuck, I never saw him live, I don't think, but I wish to hell I had!

  • I SO desperately wanted to watch this video last night! But I waited until Christmas morning, so that I can crack open a bottle of Mississippi Steamer (probably some cheap British imitation of Southern Comfort). These boys could outdo The Rolling Stone's live!

  • WHERE THE BLOODY HELL IS THE BBC VERSION OF THIS???!!

  • i never got to see them while Lowell was still alive sadly, i missed out the time they came out with him around 79/80 but got to see them years later about 2002 i think they were here last, i'll never forget that show, they were awesome even without Lowell but gutted when Ritchie Hayward passed on too, R.I.P Ritchie and Lowell

  • I know what you are saying - I first heard them way back in Joburg through a friend of mine and wasn't too impressed - I guess I didn't have the brains at the time...

  • The real deal.

  • A great Live version! Nice.

  • Lowell Thomas George (April 13, 1945 - June 29, 1979) R.I.P.

  • RIP Lowell, 32 years ago today. A legendary musician, a legendary band!

  • yeah, no mean feat, indeed!

  • One guy tried to hit Like and missed :-).

  • LOWELL GEORGE DIED AT THE HIATT REGENCY IN ARLINGTON VA, I KNOW THE PEOPLE HE KNEW HE WAS BIG IN D.C.

  • I cried when Lowell George died. It affected me more than John Lennon or Elvis or Hendrix or Joplin. What a talent Lowell George was - and what a band Little Feat was at that time. Saw them in Urbana (Univ of Illinois) at Smith Music Hall in 1974 - intimate setting, one of the best concerts out of hundreds I've seen in my life.

  • Blob666 - you do it, I'll be the first to join. LOVE Little Feat!

  • there should be an internet campaign to bring little feat the recognition they deserve as one of the all time great blues bands. my generation hasn't a clue what they're missing. too much regurgitated pop pish has starved their poor little minds of real musical talent

  • Ah! Lowell George ... what joy you gave us all in our growing up days ... wonder how many lend him their senses these days for him to hear some music now?

  • I always thought that line sounded like: "It's just a country town where the spaceships come". I must have been watching to much cheap TV :-)

  • my son will bear the name Lowell George Lankford, for this master of song and my grandfather Lowell Lankford. Two deep meanings to me. I love this song, especially Richie Hayward's drum breakdown after the "Two degrees in bebop.." line. genius. may he rest in peace. Waiting for Columbus remains the greatest live album ever released.

  • Im addicted to this video, can't seem to stop whatching it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the tightest band i ever saw.

  • I CANNOT STOP WATCHING THIS VIDEO--at about 2 minutes into it this band just goes into jammin nirvana--watch the drummer--this is a classic moment--i been a fan for over 30 years,,,,,

  • @jrmrinaz Man you said it, im a slave to watching these4 vids from pink pop. Theyre just so so good.

  • Thank you for posting.

  • The Drum fills at 2:35 ...Stone Cold F**king Genius!

  • these guys went to Holland and got some "D" !!! you know they did! listen to how slow this version is, it still friggin rocks!

  • Thsi song is the stone funk of the world -

  • My condolence to everyone who knew Mr Hayward. As an old time Feat fan, Ritchie's drumming was as distinctive as Lowell's slide. ..the heart and soul of LF

  • definitely the dog's bollocks!!!!!!!!!!

  • Feat heaven...RIP Lowell George and Richie Hayward......brothers!

  • My all time favourite LF song.. and I was there - way back in 1976!! great day - great gig

  • Saw them @ the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago 1977, best concert ever. Right before "Waiting For Columbus" album.

  • A band made of completely virtuoso talent.... brilliant. I love Little Feat.

  • hi 1977asmara . what do you mean by wider world ? I live in Finland in northern Europe and Little Feat has always been a million seller in Scandinavia (Sweden/Finland) and all over Europe. Feat is also all musicians favourite, specially in Finland - Feat, Steely Dan + Doobie Bros.

  • cbriggs90 nice comment that the wider world does not realise that little feat with george lowell was the perfection in music

  • So sweet! RIP Lowell!

  • Oh, baby - brings tears to my eyes.

God bless the Rock n' Roll Doctor.

  • therapautic.

  • @Deadfreeeak therapeutic too

  • It's unforgivable that the only front-on shot is from the pit.

  • I have been at this very concert that hot summersday of June, 5 (?) 1976. Just the right weather for this hot music. I remember that 2 giant cactusses were pulled up both sides of the stage somewhere during the 1st song. You can see them a few times when you look real good. One of the best concerts I have ever seen and Little Feat one of the best bands ever..!! Thanks for posting jnerrot.

  • in 1975 my buddy and i saw them live at the roxy in north hampton pa the best show ever.its made me love the feat.

  • Two degrees in BeBop, a PhD in Swing, he's a master of rhythm, he's a Rock 'n Roll King. As Bonnie Raitt said, "I miss Little Feat more than being eight years old"!

  • LOWELL GEORGE

  • Cut my teeth on these cats, incredible energy, tight as a crabs Ahole and that's watertight. Just love me some Little Feat. Never ever ever gets old, always makes me shake and moan baby. What a Feat!!!

  • he's a rock n roll king!.........fuck you death.

  • well said trevmm. I have been on stage (filming) with Little Feat (check my site) been on stage with many big name bands in the U.K. These guys still have IT big time.

  • why why do we have to listen to shit music of today when there is stuff like this out there to listen too for more funky stuff check out my channel

  • apparently when , having blitzkrieged the better part of Europe, the Weirmacht encountered resistance from this lot at the so called Pinkpop festival, they laid down their weapons and started singing "two degrees in bebop, a phd in swing etc. etc.

  • even the good folks of Holland, the Netherlands must have shat themselves collectively at the sight and sound of just how high these doods were in their collective comportment, way back in the seventies

  • Wow............ what a performance , great sound track too for 1976 !

  • Ritchie ownes this song...fatastic frekin drumming on this version!

  • great half time feel on this one!

  • I forgot how much I loved these guys. Thanks for reminding me. EXCELLENT!!!!

  • wow

    funky beat here just sizzing

    what a band

  • Lowell George: a man of such style that you'd not often find.

  • @RadAntelope Lowell George; Two degrees in Be Bop a PHD in swing, he's the master of rhythm he's the Rock & Roll KING!

  • Little Feat are the most underated band in the universe.. Funky,Soulful and intelligent.

  • he's doctor of the heart

and a doctor of the mind. . .

  • simply the best

  • Dutch women are the horniest on God's grey earth.....

  • This guy's channel is closed. I am not surprised cos a guy who can comment on Dutch women on a Lowell George video has got some major issues. God help the mother.

  • Who were the twisted geeks who gave the guy two thumbs up? Issues aplenty to be sure.
