Cris's rendition is still appealing from the current interpretations of today's talents. I guess it's the originallity that struck my attention. Her voice seems soring especially when hitting high notes. More of choir-like voice. Trained and proper. Her accents during that time was evident but its minor. It's God-given voice. Kudos Sis Chris. regine velasquez can reach high notes but in the end, she shouts and does not sing. ngongo na si regine pag matataas na talaga. singing is not just a matter of reaching the high notes. it's reaching the high notes with feeling. there's no feeling in shouting.

I agree that Regine can sing the higher tones better than Maricris. But I think, the harmony, change of pace and falsetto on some notes make Maricris version more depth and it's quite entertaining. We don't hear this kind of style anymore. It's nice to hear this song again. The 70s is the era of great OPM songs. Thanks for posting.
