People who say an explorer doens't sound good when played clean don't know what they're on about. The explorer is actually a very versatile guitar. Of course it suits rock (and metal) very well but saying it's "not meant" to sound clean... I'm sorry but that's just wrong

This guitar's pickups aren't meant to sound clean at all, they were created to be the most powerful and heavier passive pickups (in fact Gibson 500, bridge of the Explorer, and also Seymour Duncan "Duncan Distortion" actually are the heaviest passive pickups ever)

Na, the place I bought it from doesn't deal with Gibsons (Hell no's why), besides the guitar needs repairing, had problems with the floyd roses & whammy bar. I think Floyd Roses are just another thing to go wrong really, thats part of the reason why I wanna Explorer aswell as such an awesome sound. I gonna keep Keep things as simple as possible from now on, no more Whammys (which I never really use anyway)
