I absolutely LOVE the color theme you have on your bike mate. Do you have photos of your bike somewhere on any forums etc? I would love to re-paint mine and your color-set is just what i was needing.
I like how the american has his Thermos bottle of soup strapped on the left side of the bike. Pretty smart for an american. I dont really care for that color, even though it is the Kawasaki factory color. However, I am not imtimidated by the ZX14 because I own a faster motorcycle, and am a superb rider. I own a 2008 Hayabusa! Thats right buddy boy!
@Chally70 is thataccurate? not sure about those analog speedos, ive heard theyre off. and nitros wont fry the motor as long as you throw in enough fuel, but i agree, these bikes stock are insane, i have a zx10 and it fast enough for me.
I have zx10 with higherboosa engine init it got nos with dump valve and been lowered 45mil front and back and i put a spoiler on it to keep the back end down
like the paint job....in regards to comments on zx14 not a beginner bike, my first road bike is one....end of the day if your scared of it dont ride it....also respect of any machinery.
@ojjames25 neither...go suzuki or yamaha...a wise man once told me...if u want a race bike get a yamaha or suzuki, if u want a bike that looks like a race bike get a kawa or a honda...yamahas and suzukis are the best bikes on the planet hands down...i own 2 bikes from each company so dont call me biased but my suzukis and yamahas trump the hondas and kawas
@ojjames25 the zx14 and zx12 are good drag bikes if u know how to ride them, the only thing the 14 is good at is straight lines same with the busa, i can however handle the 14 a little bit better then the busa but...my advice is if its your first bike or whatever...get a yamaha fz6 or fz6r (the r is like 15 horsepower weaker then the fz6 (tho u dont really notice) but it looks more agressive cause it has full fairings) if its not your first bike, gixxer or r6 all the way...
@ojjames25 just dont get anything bigger then a 600 unless u race...ive got 1000's and ive got bigger, but the only bikes ill ride on a daily basis are my 600s cause a-use less gas b-easier to get around the city and weave through cars, and c-if u wanna go all crazy and go fast a 600 is plenty enough unless ur on the track my r6 tops at about 165 but the fastest ive gotten it on the road is about 140, so why ride a bigger bike when i cant max the small bike on the road...
@ojjames25 test drive em both, the ninja might be a bit more comfortable depending on how tall you are (i know mine is) but i still prefer the gsxr cause of how much power i can get out of it and how much easier it is to handle then the ninja
@ojjames25 if its your first bike i would say stick to 600s and 750s, ive been riding for 8 years and i can barely lean on my 14, and i have to force a lean on my 1000's (keep in mind im like 5'8 and 160lbs) but yea, anything 1200 and over is mainly a straight line bike because of how heavy it is my buddy who is about your height and weight (hes been riding 2 years longer then i have and does amateur racing) struggles to lean on a busa and a busa is only like 4 lbs heavier then the zx12
@ojjames25 wait...im confused now...1-is this gonna be your first bike 2-he said a 14 is better then what? the 750 or a cbr...3-im partially drunk thats why im confused :)
@ojjames25 yea a 14 is not a beginner bike, hell a 600 isnt even a good starter bike, too much power and not as forgiving, good starter bikes that have power are the 650r (ninja) the fz6/fz6r and the gs500f, they got some power (fz6r goes to like 140 if i remember right) but is forgiving enough for a beginner, just dont get a 250r, everyone says theyre the best for beginners but theyre too weak and light...a gust of wind and your gone, that and youll be bored with a 250 after one day
@thrasha666 My zx6rr was my first bike and it was a great beginner bike for me. I still had fun on it until the day I traded it in for my ZX10 which was about 5 months later. It all really depends on the rider.
@CommanderKairu ok theres more involved to it, i upgraded after 3 months from my "beginner bike" that has to do with how quick you learn, another is what year was your bike? ie how much power did it have, an r6 could be a good starter bike, if it didnt redline at (on mine)18k and had about 40 less horsepower, sure maybe a kawa or a honda would be better since if i remember right (my sponsors only give me yamahas now...and i recently got rid of all my hondas and kawas......
@CommanderKairu .....they redline at 12k or so...less fidgety, less power, (even if it has more hp the gearing makes it weaker) also, did you ride anything before? like a dirtbike when you were a kid, did anyone in your family ride (i firmly believe its also genetic) everyone in my bloodline (going through fathers) rode so i picked it up on day one, my cousin (mothers side, no one rode in his side) has been trying to learn for a year and still cant do it...either way...u should get a....
@CommanderKairu ...crotch rocket as your first bike even if your god, its not a smart idea cause then youll lose respect for the bike, then youll lose your life, its better (and more fun/less boring) to start on a starter bike then gradually move up through the ranks
@thrasha666 C-c-c-combo breaker! Lol triple post, you should have just messaged me. xp The only person other than me in my family that rides or ever rode is my dad. I rode a moped for a couple of minutes when I was a kid, then never rode again, until the MSF course which is now required for your license, then hopped on the Zixxer. Tell you what though, I felt pretty comfortable riding that bike even when I first got it because I knew I wasn't going to go fast until I was completely ready. o_o,
@CommanderKairu yea the msf course ive heard does make it easier to pick up riding, where do u live? in my state the course isnt required its optional, and thats another thing you were responsible about it, most people get a bike then on the first day wanna go fast, thats what gets you killed, u can get a fast bike and learn on it responsibly, its just easier to learn on a "learner" bike since their more forgiving
@thrasha666 I live in Fl.guess it's just state law then, but it should be applied everywhere because it is a VERY good learning opportunity.True, supersports do tempt you to go fast, but then again we get back to the begining of the convo where I said it depends on the rider. lol But yes, if a person will fall into temptation too easily start off with maybe a 500 sport-touring.And if you don't take the MSF and wanna go fast on your first bike get the 250 so they don't have to scrape u off the road.
@CommanderKairu valid points, if theres one thing i can agree 100% on its the required msf course, the only reason i didnt take it is because of how long i had ridden (i rode street bikes for probably 2 years before i got my license for it). im tired of seeing kids renting a 50cc scooter taking the test at the dmv then going out and getting a gsxr1000, thats probably the only time i ever wish badly on other riders, cept of course when im racing and someone overtakes me (once in a blue moon) :P
it realy dosent matter if its a ninja, cbr, gsxr R6/1 or Daytona. Its about wich YOU like the best and i mean the looks and how you like to drive it. Dont look your self blind on som smal diferences on paper. Its realy not that much diferenc on those bike for normal streat use when you think of preformanc.
Humans are difrent set up and one bike that fits on guy might not be so good for another
well some people haul large objects, tow big trailers, have a big family, (cant fit 8 ppl in a camary, cant haul a horse trailer in a accord) you smell what i'm steppin in?
That applies to less then 10% of the people on the road from observation. I still think the avg Americans buy bigger then they need. There's no denying it, were in the country of super sized meals, jumbo this and that. Its what appeals in this place, the ZX14 in some other countries only make 106hp due to gov regulations, i think France is one of them.
@pbmaster598 yeh it would end pretty badly, i was 15 with a gsx1000 that was a 8sec drag bike. but if u have the maturity level u would know what to do and what not to do. just wondering what time of bike do u have?? better not be a pussy ass harley
@pbmaster598 a 2006 zx 14 was my first bike ...never put it down or even had a finder bender...now i have a 08 zx 14...i guess it all depends on your size also im 6'5 260lb so a 600cc bike would be like riding a scooter to me the 14 fits me nicely and if you respect it, it will respect you...
I don't know what you rode.. but I know a 1400 sport bike requires a lot of skill and muscle to handle and a 13 y/o doesn't have it. maybe you did.. but I call bs.
To the left of the horn is the nitrous changover switch. It turns the horn button into the nitrous activation button. Flick it again and it's just a horn again.
hey im thinking of getting bike but i dunno wat to go for the zx-14 is ok but its not that nice looking but the zx-10 is cheap and fast and good looking?
definitely go for the zx-10, they do look a lot nicer and are still very very fast. even a 600 is fast so i wouldnt recommend the zx14 unless youre going to be doing some drag racing. the zx10 will outhandle the zx14 and also sounds sweeter
thnx but i havent gotten my liscence yet but i also dont want to kill myself by im also thinking of getting a ninja 250r or a small honda 150 for the begining. get back to me on that thnx
my first bike was a ninja250 and it was great, i rode it for a while before i moved up to a 600. i would definitely recommend the 250 for a first bike, 600's are very quick and unforgiving
Joey you need to read a book. Nitrous oxide is a combination of nitrogen and oxygen. When hot the oxygen releases itself meaning engine wanting more fuel for combustion meaning more power!! Regular gas no "higher octane fuel".....
OK WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE WHO BUY KAWAKS. FIRST, GET SOME MONEY TO FUCKING CHANGE THE COLOUR. I MEAN SERIOUSLY, ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY THIS BIKE IS CLEAN AND GREEN? GOD, if i see another green kawasaki i will rip the driver's head off.
anyway, on the topic, i love the zx-14. i have a friend who has it,luckily he got his airbrushed and changed it to a blue and silver.
Saying you hate a green kawi is about the same as saying ducati's are ugly in red. It's just what they've came to be known by. Not that big of deal, there is color options. I love the bike in the vid though.
I absolutely LOVE the color theme you have on your bike mate. Do you have photos of your bike somewhere on any forums etc? I would love to re-paint mine and your color-set is just what i was needing.

@ hedgehogoggles Very light? Quite small? Are we talking about about the same bike here? I think you are confusing zzr with zx10r.
And yes, i do own a ZZR and i had a ZX10R and a CBR1000RR before buying "the black bus" but i didnt regret it.
yapeba456 9 months ago
The problem with the ZZR is that its deceptively easy to ride. Very light, quite small and gentle handling.
Its only when you look down at the speedo and realise you're doing 100mph in a 30mph zone you're in trouble.

definitely go for the zx-10, they do look a lot nicer and are still very very fast. even a 600 is fast so i wouldnt recommend the zx14 unless youre going to be doing some drag racing. the zx10 will outhandle the zx14 and also sounds sweeter
brucecoelho 2 years ago
thnx but i havent gotten my liscence yet but i also dont want to kill myself by im also thinking of getting a ninja 250r or a small honda 150 for the begining. get back to me on that thnx
snoopydawg23 2 years ago
my first bike was a ninja250 and it was great, i rode it for a while before i moved up to a 600. i would definitely recommend the 250 for a first bike, 600's are very quick and unforgiving
brucecoelho 2 years ago
Not when he build's the speed up, and he'd probs want's it to handle well.

Joey you need to read a book. Nitrous oxide is a combination of nitrogen and oxygen. When hot the oxygen releases itself meaning engine wanting more fuel for combustion meaning more power!! Regular gas no "higher octane fuel".....

you r the idiot, is NO2
ZMBravoZM 2 years ago
Actually ZM, you are the one who is wrong. Nitrogen oxide is NO. NO2 is Nitrogen dioxide.
In racing you use Nitrous Oxide (N20), or "NOS" for short. Aka: laughing gas.
NO2 is exhaust gas tard... NOT fuel.
DaedalEVE 2 years ago 3
NO2... lol such a loser!!!
vatsalrana05 2 years ago
you fucking dipshit
NO2=Nitrogen Dioxide which is what is left after you burn the fuel.
N2O=Nitrous Oxide which is the higher octane fuel that burns hoter and makes your bike (or car) faster. Read a fucking book god damnit.

ReggaeZal 3 years ago
Ok so you don't like green, get over it. It's kawa's signature colour
zx6femmefatale 3 years ago 3
i dont get what they are suppose to implict by making it green >.> ive seen black and silver zx-14s and they really suite the name Ninja
ReggaeZal 3 years ago
Saying you hate a green kawi is about the same as saying ducati's are ugly in red. It's just what they've came to be known by. Not that big of deal, there is color options. I love the bike in the vid though.
