@TheSalibali - Cameron wrote the script in 1995, but since they didn't have the technology needed at the time, he forgot about it for ten years before he picked it up again. So not really fourteen years to make it, but there were fourteen years between the idea and the release. ;)
I love the movie but James Cameron is an ass hole. I'm not saying that because I'm jealous but my dad met the man (he was a harrier pilot during the movie true lies) and he said that he was the most self centered bastard he had ever met. He said Arnold S. a great guy though and respected him and the rest of the military. I think James Cameron may hate marines or at least that's what my dad thinks. I know I'm going to get negative feed back but ask yourself have you ever met him in person?

It's already sure that there are going to be two sequels. "Avatar 2" will come out about the end of 2011. It's about the neighbour planets of Pandora and some bad guys.
Everyone says it's great and it may be but when i see the computer graphics it just looks like a video game to me but I will see it. I'm sure it must be somewhat good. CG doesn't really impress me though. It's supposed to be a good story and that's what counts so we shall see.

yes definetly agree with u. It was definetly the best movie I've ever seen. I love how this movie can't really fall under one category because of its diversity.

ive seen this movie in 2D and 3D, definatley reccomend 3D.

other than a famous cast, this movie has everything i have ever wanted in a film.
wicked action, animation, story and most of all, one of the most touching love story.
at first site, i didnt find the women attractive, however i fell in love with the character by the end.

I watched this movie today and it was the greatist movie i have ever seen. watchin thos movie makes u wanna watch tthis movie again and again. It also makes u wanna be one of the navi. yes ive seen spiderman and all the ther superhero movies but this movie just got to me made me feel like on of the navi. and i think it was sad that they cut down that tree made everyone really sad. but honestly they should make another one cause ths was a great movie. BEST EVER

Hopefully the blue ray will be in 3d but I don't want to spend 3000$ on a new 3D tv to do so like with the video game :O(

Amazing. My friends and I walked out of the theatre speechless. In the same way that sync-sound revolutionized movie making, the technology in Avatar is the natural next step..... crazy! On a side note, I loved Zoe Saldana!

I think deep down this movie was meant to be a sign or something to everyone... It shows that if we keep expanding and consuming everything we see and want, we will eventually kill ourselves out of existence... this movie is trying to show that... haha.. well at least if you toke and see the movie thats how you feel. .. . great movie
