If some animals weren't in captivity they would have disappeared a long time ago. Some animals are so rare that they are only alive in captivity (eg. Zoos). And the animals are fed and they will most likely have a large vegetated enclosure. It's better for some animals to be in captivity.

You make a very good point, and some people do eat small foods live, but it just doesn't appeal to me when my food can still move when it's on my plate. As for the shark or tiger, most of their food is twitchy and uncooked, there's no need for them to have a problem with it.

Eating animals isn't bad. What is awfull is to torture them, or keep them in the cage. It is the same as for humans: noone want to be imprisoned or tortured. If some animals weren't in captivity they would have disappeared a long time ago. Some animals are so rare that they are only alive in captivity (eg. Zoos). And the animals are fed and they will most likely have a large vegetated enclosure. It's better for some animals to be in captivity.

I agree. Sometimes, I see a video of someone playing around with their cat or dog or some other kind of pet, and maybe the cat got stuck in the box, so the owner laughs because it's funny.
