I was in dozens of foster homes and "shelters" in the 50's and 60's, so I know the situation first hand...it sucks! Some of those places were a real nightmare and it's all about the money. Most foster parents don't give a shit about the children. I was in one where they had four or five other foster kids and it was so horribly bad, that I ran away the same day!
