  • This is simply magic...

  • This is simply magic...

  • this is my favorite song on their album!

  • LOVE HER

    !!!

  • Don't even like Arcade fire, to grown up for the teeny-bopper indie rock thing, but this was a beautiful performance of an even more beautiful song. If they could sound like this all the time, I might be sold. Simply stunning.

  • love this song...did not know about this band until SNL...show...

  • someone tell me if that's Nick Zinner from YYY's in the back right.

  • Too much people for this poor quality music.

  • Its kind of fitting that this tribute to 'Heart Of Glass' should include some awesome Debbie Harry style dancing : )

  • lol at the guy constantly hairflipping on the left

  • This might be my favorite "TV show" musical performance of all time. My god this is an impressive performance and an amazing song. I've always liked AF but their new stuff is pushing it to the next level for me.

  • @merton510 haha they even made that world peace sketch with Andy Samberg good. even if they were barley in it, it was still funny to see them get wild and dance

  • Never heard of them until last night on SNL, I've watched this about 30 times now. I love this girl.. what a voice.

  • i'm wtf-ing at everyone's comments about regine not pulling off her vocals.

    are you kidding me?

she's beyond excellent. she makes the song. incredible incredible woman

  • Sprawl II best performance + Nick Zinner on synths + another cute kiss at the end = TOTAL WIN! (Butler :P)

  • @araglar101 holy shit i didnt even notice. woot!

  • i like regine's rawness that she brings to arcade fire. live music isn't about being perfect, it's about the emotion. she may not have the best vocals but she has the spark and stage presence to carry the songs. she is one of the many reasons that arcade fire is amazing..

  • its such a shame as this is a great song but Regine just cant pull the vocal off , Ive not seen one decent live version and its one of the best lyrics on te album , she should spend less time on rushing through songs to get to her dramatics which here are way way over the top considering the vocal shes capable in other songs but not this song.

They need to do something if they continue to do this live imo it always ruins the rest .

Album version fantastic live versions Regine cannot cut it

  • k regine is the shit, love her :)

  • Beautiful, just beautiful in every way.

  • The performance is amazing. She's not hitting the notes very well but her spark is totally enough to carry this. I want to give her a hug <3

  • i would like to personally thank whoever put Will in the front.

  • her dancing reminds me of something from twin peaks

  • painful sounding. Is everyone here deaf? she can't sing!

  • win's head is shaved way more than normal here.

  • woow ! this was great!

  • Goosebumps.

  • okay.. i dont think she should dance.

  • this song reminds me of John Cusack and his early 80's films. excellent song.

  • @merton510 they did a concert at SNL after the show..... but that doesn't really help the TV audience...

  • how exactly do you justify 2:50 ? Overly-dramatic jokers, with way too many band members to achieve their still shallow, elementary sound

  • @tnerb441 Dude chill out, they are having a good time, getting into it, i don't think they take themselves real serious, and i bet they have fun with all these little strange things they do together like that. should music always be totally serious no-nonsense? is it bad to have fun with a little bit of ridiculousness?

  • I love this band, but i can't help but feel like her voice just doesn't sound that great. Don't get me wrong, I have tons of respect for this band and for their music, in fact I am a huge fan of theirs, but her voice breaks or just doesn't hit the notes. I don't know if she means to do that, but I can't help but feel disappointed.

  • @PalmisMaximus I think she was putting a lot of emotion into it, and so that does make your voice break or mess up a bit. I personally think it just adds to this performance, which is IMHO one of their best of this song.

@Capejen21, SEE THEM LIVE, SEE THEM LIVE!!!!!! They are FANTASTIC!!! I saw them back in September and they ROCKED!!! :D

  • @PalmisMaximus I feel the exact same way. I love her performance but I just don't love the way she sings this song.

  • Nick Zinner!

  • regine is inspiring and beautiful. that's all.

  • I LOVE THEM!!!!!! She Is soooo AMAZING, they all are and I am dying to see them live!!! This song gives me chills.. I love them!!

  • what a diamond she is...

  • were they trying to look like wind and lightning on purpose

  • Also, I disagree on those who say she can't dance. Her style of dance might be unusual and quirky, but as a dancer myself I can totally 'get' her moves. She definitely knows what she's doing applying the moves to the music and her own emotions while singing.... :-) ...even to the very last move where she 'tosses' the streamers to the ground and gives a quick lifting motion to her hands. A true artiste!

  • It would be so easy for this song to suck, but she makes it amazing. Her voice isn't good and she can't dance...but I love this.

  • Great show! I LOVE THEM!

  • yes..nick zinner. this sounds perfect

  • Wow! Is that Nick Zinner from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs playing in the background on the right?!

  • ℒℴѵℯd the kiss at the end

  • very cool band....first time I have ever seen them!

  • @cellblockc get all their albums, you definitely won't be disappointed. They only get better with time

  • Good to see Owen Pallett and Nico Muhly here.

  • God, I love this band.

  • best live performance of sprawl II I've witnessed remarkable how much improvement there is here, from the madison sq gig.

  • I love Arcade Fire, but Win and Regine have really bad live vocals. Otherwise they're A+

  • at the end she looks like WIND and their jackets are LIGHTNING

  • Comment removed

  • ok i usually dont like her singing but this performance was exceptional! she seemed so confortable up there, and her dancing was CUTE!

  • And on the last day God created Arcade Fire

  • omg he kissed her at the end, brb DYING

  • @ilovealexjames i thought it was sweet

  • @ilovealexjames LOL they're married

  • @cbebop2411 I KNOW THIS, am i not allowed to still be excited by this?!!?!

  • @mareknowi91 yeah its def nick zinner. Guess the Yeah Yeah Yeahs were on break. Definitly a pleasant surprise though. Good eye.

  • Musical divinities Nico Muhly on keyboards and Owen Pallett on violin. Doesn't get much better than that.

  • Is nick zinner, from the yeah yeah yeahs, sitting in the background and playing synth or keyboards?

  • Magical :-)

  • They've got to do this song on Jools Holland next week!

  • Regine's never looked prettier than here. Great performance!

  • Longtime fan, I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!

  • Effing Brilliant.

  • What an awesome band! First time I have heard them and was extremely moved by her performance. Stunning

  • I love EVERYTHING in this video. Every little thing.

  • this was, hands down, regine's best performance of this song. i've never seen her so confident and pouring so much emotion into it!!

  • @rareflorence Sooo agreed.

  • @rareflorence uhh no, they barely had any room to dance or move around the msg shows were leagues better...

  • @redcat10 i was basing it mostly on her vocal performance. you know, the part that matters.

  • @rareflorence the vocals werent that emotional, you just sound pretentious or have never seen em live

  • @edgehaedjr Alright thanks man I just saw them play We Used To Wait. Badass man. Arcade Fire is the greatest band ever! I just saw them last month at the shrine, totally worth it!

  • @emohskremo No problem. Totally jealous you've seen them. If I remember correctly they sold out. Glad you had a great time though. :)

  • what the fuck?! the guitarist from the yeah yeah yeahs is playing something in the back

  • I'd never heard of them before...til I saw them on SNL. (btw, SNL, how DOES SNL find such great bands?!) Anyway, I was almost brought to tears watching this performance, which often happens to me when I witness amazing, creative art. Their sound is so unique, and this is also a great beat. I also loved how 'into' it the singer seems....how she moves....part like a totally unaware little girl, but also like a dancer who's very aware of her moves.... They are true ARTISTES!

  • @yippee1999 Hoooooow the fuck have you not heard of Arcade Fire?

I f you think this is awesome, jump in your car, and see them live. It will change your life.

  • @yippee1999 get all their albums, you definitely won't be disappointed. They only get better with time

  • @yippee1999 listen to their other stuff, it's life-changing!

  • By far my favorite band.....EVER! Up until the day I die. Come to Coeur d Alene.....(Heart of the Awl). You can play in my big backyard underneath the trees!

  • Win and Régine. <3

  • I love this band so much! Regine is just amazing!

  • When does Arcade Fire perform? Towards the end of the show right?

  • @emohskremo Sprawl II should be at the end of the show, and We Used To Wait will be like in the middle. Not 100% as I'm the West Coast and it has yet to air here.

  • YES! Arcade Fire + Tron suits + Nick Zinner = Win! (Not Win Butler, but WIN WIN)

  • At first I thought she wasn't doing a great job live compared to the record, but Regine's passion at the end redeems it.

  • THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING THIS

  • I was in another room and my older brother was watching this. I heard her singing and I thought it was a skit. I like this song and this the first time I have heard of this group.
