2 x 4s propped against the fence (to the right) would have given you a ramp allowing a relatively smooth transition, assuming, of course, a friendly neighbor and the room on the other side to ramp the tank up and over into your yard. Regardless, it is a lesson learned and a hoot to watch. Thanks for sharing.
That was absolutely hillarious !!! Im setting two on tha farm next week , im sure I'll think of this video , thanking the Lord i have a tractor.. Pure humor , i like it. Music syn. was prefect ....
@GeeCu1 hahaha that's what i did! and used the winch on my 4wd to sling in down the other side. Worked great! Two 5000L tanks up and over in about an hour.
Great piece of footage.......... reminded me of a family in my home village installing a glass fiber (GRP) swimming pool, about 35ft long 20ft wide & 5ft deep, which was installed in a walled garden with a 15 ft wall round it, no crane used, they just pushed it off the truck and over the wall on a hot summers day.
lush green surrounding area sure doesn't look like it requires a water tank, but I guess they're still trying to conserve (if it's gonna be used for rain or gray water).
why no ropes involved in moving this thing? or temporarily remove fence? "working in slacks and button up shirt in the rain is also baffling?
I don't think I've heard Some Days are Diamonds in years, I used to listen to John Denver quite a bit when I was a primary schooler, my father introduced me to him, he was quite popular when he was in high school.
Why did you tape trying to install a water tank? That doesn't seem like something that makes you think "hmm, I think I'll get the video camera," does it?
True, but it's not so much the installation of the water tank itself that made us get the camera...it was more four guys being crushed while pushing a water tank that's balanced between two gate posts (one of which we sawed off anyway) through a gap that was really too small for it, and trying not to smash either the window (yes, there's a window there which you can't see in the video), or the gutter (which we smashed anyway), and trying not to let it roll backwards down a hill out of the video.
