(Advanced) Anivia Wall Tricks and Tips

Ha, haven't checked responses until now. This was so long ago I have every single mage now, in fact only champs I don't have are Jarvan, Urgot, Olaf and Shen. :D

But tbh I kinda suck with both Anivia and Karthus so it didn't matter much which I bought first :P

@julianchai You are still able to pin in some spots. It is not very effective strategy(never really was all that effective), but fun to do when you have the chance. They fixed the wall bug a while ago. You are still able to wall pin in some places.

@brokenglasses12 thank you, I found the wall is more effective by blocking/isolating enemies. Anivia is a really fun champion to play,the range of frostbite is quite short though.

@brokenglasses12 I've been having quite often some 3 win streaks with her but I get bested with many champions, I'm not too sure what her build is, I use Rod of ages, the recommended boots and then I stack AP, is it bad or should I try other builds? Many thanks.

@TheArcanePhilosophy It is good to try different builds to see which ones work and fit you play style. I have a video guide that outlines what I use. I would also recommended looking up top builds on Solomid or Leaguecraft to get an idea what others are trying. ROA is a very good item for Anivia, but is not a must for every game. Having lots of AP is good, but is not everything. You have a good start you just need to refine your build a bit more. Keep up the Anivia domination!

@TheArcanePhilosophy With some time and dedication you can get good with her. Anivia is a solid champ to main and if you are looking to make her your main try to play her exclusively. It will help you mastering her abilities and play style faster. She takes some time to learn but once you do is a great to have.

The wall pins got fixed . It was a bug

The baron stands more in the middle of the circle and now it isn´t in range of E anymore

and everything else is just normal anivia wall placement

No offense but nothing of that is really hard except for the wall pins but they sadly got fixed

@S3iF3 None taken. Baron steals are now very hard and flash walls not overly dificult. You can still do wall pins, its just harder now. Will see in new video. Also, I don't count wall pins as a bugs. It is the same idea as a vice grip; pinning something between 2 walls.

normal pinning like 0:32 is not bug

@S3iF3 I will admit I am a bit biases, but think that the whole should be there. Its the same idea as trapping someone in a gap like at 0:32, but the gap is so small they can not move. This idea should not be foreign to anyone as you can do this in rl. I don't know if RIOT meant for this to happen when they designed her walls, but it make sense that it does happen. Thanks for bring this up. =)

funnest part is that when i got on anivia i was like level 13 just started to play, hes my faceroll champ, it felt like its made for me lol, and the wall part was super easy to me :D one of the parts i dont get why you use banshees, i prefer ghost/improved ignite over the 15% summoner ability cd, faceroll early game wipe late game, FULL ap build late game 1109 AP... most squishys go for 1hit.. with flash frost :).

what you just said makes no sense at all. even if you get killed a few times early by tanky dps, as long as you have enough ap how does it affect late game at all? you can get killed 3 times early then go on a legendary streak and youll still be facerolling...

@enonx1 you won't get gold if you are dead 3 times; any good player will be ahead of you. No gold = no items = no ap. Hopefully you can make sense of that? They have gold cause they farm while you're dead, earning no gold. Anivia CANNOT be the super nuke you make it out to be. Go for full ap and they will just kill you faster.

HERE'S THE EASY WAY: They'll have good defensive tanky items, and you won't have enough AP. They'll sure wait till you can get enough right?

Anivia is my favorite hero , my favorite trick to pull off is when I'm facing a very strong mele hero by myself (having my summoner abilities as flash and clarity I don't have an exhaust to save me) is place a wall between me and my foe and dance around the wall as my ult is engulfing us both, also if they manage to get to the other side of the wall i just flash over it. Wall pins are especially gay and its and added bonus to a kill to hear there screams of anger <3

The only thing they change was dash abilities now go through your wall and no long get stuck in the wall.

@LookAtThatBigNameYo The wall pin, were you pin them between your wall and another wall, still works, after the patch. It makes sense because it works just like a vice would, trapping something between too walls. Try it out in a practice game with a friend, that was one of the first things I did after the patch to see if wall pins still worked.

@ernispel Q is not merely just a stun spell and sould not be underestimated. If you get the double damage from it (damage for going over the target and for bursting) it can actual do more damage then Anivia's E spell. With a little pratice it is not overly hard to do. You don't need to max W so ealry because small wall will work almost as well early and mid game.

@brokenglasses12 yeah i see... lol that comment i did was when i first bought anivia and i didnt know the capabilities of the Q spell... it does do a lot of damage however i still yet find harassing with e and keep up that large ice wall early game helps more tremendously if u do tend to miss your q in a gank (if theyre juking)... well thats my opinion... i'm not saying this is a rule but maxing q after e would just rape ur lane :P i find the wall is used in many team fights to single out someon

@ernispel yes, your right having a wall early is important, but normally I find having a small wall will work just as well early game as a big one. It is normaly more important early game to win your lane, then it is to gank, which is why maxing Q is important.

@ernispel If your good at using the wall I feel that you can leave it at rank 2 because its usually large enough if your reaction are quick and placement is placed in the proper position. Plus once the ap starts to snowball the stun does quite a nice chunk of dmg and having a maxed wall but rank 1 stun will limit your dmg capabilities.

Hey, its me again. I'd like to ask what spells you max First? I personally max e First, then q and i take only 1lvl Wall before i Maxed the damage. How do you skill?And do you have an European Account too? I Play anivia in nearly every ranked and got tgu of 6:1 now :)

A tip i can give on your anivia, is you have a LARGE lack of minion kills, the top teir anivia players have seen often wrack 100-150+ early minion kills easily. It will help get ur items sooner and more of them

Last time we played, the game I played before we went to get supper, then I had to leave ( playing rammus, and before that, veigar. we only played those two games and I had just bought morg). what, a week or a little more maybe ago? And yes, that is where I saw it, all you have to do is look and you can get all the stats for everyone in the game, figured that if lolbase could get the info, so could I. Would actually be easy to make a program to get all that data in seconds.

@redbill81 Wall pins are very hard to do. It will take time to get good with them(I still have room to improve with them :P). To help improve your pins you might want to try some practice games with Friends so you can learn the proper angles and what position are good for pins.
