Any airline which owns Boeing aicrafts will be one of the top airlines....Rock on Delta airlines...best "American" airline and soon to be of world's top airline
I fly SEA-SGN 3 times per year ( Feb, Jun, Dec) for business and leisure. I chose airline base on air fare (number 1 in priority), time delay when changing plane (number 2 on the list), seat comfort (for long haul flight). US flag careers fare are low, but when you add up baggage fee and other fees, you might as well flight foreign airlines such as Cathay, Eva, Asiana where they don't charged you on baggage and provide you with more comfort than US airlines
Delta's cabin is a joke compared to Asian/Middle Eastern/ & even European standards. Not just Delta, All American Carriers cabins are a joke. I've been on Qatar Airways and then stepped straight into American carriers as the next leg of my trip and the difference was noticeable immediately.
Delta is a friendly airline and all the staff are polite and actually give a crap and the food is ok too, but flying on it with four long haul flights you see why its more cheaper than other airlines, LHR-JFK JFK-LHR, JFK Terminal 2/3 is really bad and arriving you always have problems with the gates, 3/4 flights had ptv, but those 3 flights they had so many tec problems it was not worth bothering, 767 have a really hard landings and the worst part is the que for the toilets and the sfatey video
@Bobloblawwww OK, FYI after they where charged for bags, they were refunded by the government. You can take your comments and shove them up your ass! Anyways I think you will only be able to fly southwest ;)
@wg40504 What the fuck does "other airlines doing the same thing" have to do with "THIS AIRLINE"??????? NOTHING!!!!! Also..... In your little mind charging the military for bags is ok???????????? Think before you type..........it does wonders. You just won the moron of the week award. Grats!!!!!!!
@Aviationnation10 Well in the USA air carriers give exemptions to U.S. military - Delta's "actual food" on most US-Canada-Mexico-beach Latam flights has extra charges
@Aviationnation10 Yup - If you check the baggage fee/baggage fee exemptions for U.S. and Canada: Delta, Continental, United, American, Southwest, Airtran, Alaska, Hawaiian, Frontier - active military personnel (often also their dependents get exemptions) - sometimes airlines give exemptions to media personel (Airtran and Frontier)
@VicenteMosin I never understood why travel is so expensive in the us and most is domestic! I find that crazy well I the Americans are big into the Milatry! a guy who pretended to be a soldier got an upgrade to first class on AA!
@Aviationnation10 AFAIK airlines are supposed to ask for ID before giving military benefits.
In the USA the actual cost of travel, while taking into account inflation, has gone way down. It was due to deregulation, rise of low cost carriers, the internet (makes price comparison easier), etc. Airlines are trying to get back pricing control by merging and adding fees.
@Bobloblawwww "What the fuck does "other airlines doing the same thing" have to do with "THIS AIRLINE"???????"
An airline is a business. If passengers prefer cheaper tickets and the other guys slash amenities, Delta will follow the money and do the same thing.
"In your little mind charging the military for bags is ok????????????" - It was all a misunderstanding :) - The current website says that military and dependents may check bags for no charge under certain conditions
@ZombaJuice Its only free for 2011 while they are retrofitting them through out the fleet. Starting 2012 you well be able to fly for an extra charde, 60-120 dls each way.
I coughed up the extra 80 bucks just to get a window seat on my MUC-ATL flight back home in July, but I don't think I will complain about the extra goodies along with it, and with it being 18G on a 764 as in the video, it looks like I made a good choice.
at 0:33 ... good to see the Japanese flight attendant who is very nice ... she assisted me when i vomited on the airplane from Atlanta to Narita last December ... a cup of ginger soda from her help me a lot ... thank you and Delta ... from Vietnam
@crapper1 It was filmed on the ground. It would be to expensive to pay for all that fuel and fly in the air to film a commercial. Not sure if it was in Atlanta or not.
Yeah like you would ever get a delta FA to smile at you and bend down at your seat.
