Yes its absolutely free the only thing is that the game wont self update like the ones bought from the app store

please help, when i try to download apps/games on installous, the download is so slow! my computer's internet speed is fine, and when i am on my ipod touch using safari, youtube is it also fine. my ipod touch version is 3.0. installous 2.0.3

Download time varies on the size of the file more then your internet speed. Since installous alows you to download files through file sharing programs the download is slower then itunes since the websites (appscene, getapp, 4shared) they all cap the download speed at 150kb/s unlike itunes which doesn't cap the download alowing you to download the games almost instantly. If your downloading a big game file set your Autolock to never and set the iPod aside while the file downloads.

No you need some kind of wifi connection to get Installous.

i figured it out i had to download the mipatch then download installous and after that download any free game from app store and after i download a free game i'm able to download any game from installous.

wait are you hitting the download button or install? if your hitting the download button you need to install it.

I just tried to find the virtual tennis app in installous and i couldn't even find it so maybe it was a bad source try downloading one of the other tennis apps.

try to use other sources for the download and if that doesn't work try an older version of the app.

the last thing to try is go under settings in installous and select dirty. and try to download the app again. (only use the dirty version of the app if you've exhausted the options above.)
