Suspension is mushy as hell. Your "review" is more like a "list of features" ... but LEGO stops sending nice things to "review" when you REALLY review them. I understand.
would removing the panhard rod/bar make the axle suspension function horribly? because it seems to me that you could remove it and still have 3 points of contact with the chassis and even more suspension articulation.
not looking difficult to replace piston engine with 2 PF XL, PF steering, and maybe even a Sariel type gearbox....
-boost up the compressor with another cylinder, making gearshift pneumatic, and move the steering of the arm to the flatbed, where there is room enough to make it remote controlled.... 7 channels will be needed. something to do in the autumn!
@Conchinhas That sounds great! I think I'll do 3:1 when I build my model, im also going to put a motor in the place of the piston engine, and somehow motorize the steering, also add an IR receiver for full infrared control. I can't wait!
@DarkSphere17 Im 15 :) what about you?

@Aratixwrx
Yes, it would allow strong sideways movement.
This because the torque tube contact point allows this kind of lateral movements.

looking forward to getting my own.

@Conchinhas are the portal axles geared down? or is it just 1:1?
Aratixwrx 7 months ago
@Aratixwrx
1:1 in the official model.
But you can use the same parts with combinations like 24t + 8t (3:1) and 20t + 12t (5:3)
