I love this scene...Jack just knew what he needed to do to get to Daniel, and I love how Major Kawalsky kept repeating Jack. General Hammond certainly softened up later on, but here, well, he was pretty tough as nails. And I couldn't blame him after the fact that Jack lied about the first mission.

At this point they don't know that objects can only travel one way thru an open wormhole, and better safe then sorry.

@hobbitbox no in the first film it was clearly stated that it only goes one by ferreti and ferreti also stated that the all those symbol itd be quite odd for the gate to only go to one planet so if they dialed the wrong number they could end anywhere probably in the vacuum of space clearly is too smart for the military its possibly hes the only one with such logic which is why theyre pointing guns stupid military ppl

Lolz I remember that scene, I always think like, There paying milions of US tax dollars for the stargate project and then they send a box of tisues lol. If you send it trough the royal mail, 7 pounds and if you send it with the stargate express it costs about 100.000 dollars a time or something :p

This is a clip from Stargate SG1 Children of the Gods which is the pilot of the sci-fi show from back in 1997 and it's the remastered one.
