  • they should correct his career...he won against Trinidad, won against Mosley in the rematch, he clearly lost to Felix Sturm, and he tied with Mayweather.

  • damn too bad boxing doesnt have an oscar de la hoya,i would watch it these days, floyds a bitch that got hammered by dlh

  • I know he's a former champ but the guard of Ruelas is fucking laughable. He looks so dumb.

  • Oscar reached his prime at a very young age, he started going downhill after the 2nd mosley fight

  • I think he won the 2nd Mosely fight. He gave away the Trinidad fight. Overall, your right.

  • Why did they boo the reff?

  • @rtuumm because he has been in big fights where he has had made controversial decisions.. starting off with Chavez vs. Taylor 1... where he stopped the fight in the 12th round, with only 2 seconds left in the round. Chavez won by TKO... but if he would have let Taylor fight for 2 more seconds, Taylor would have won the fight.

  • I never thought that was a big deal. 3 years before the Chavez fight, title fights were 15 rounds. Surviving through the 12th should never be an option.

  • this is were ODLH was in his prime.....

  • FUCK OSCAR DE LA HOYA. IF I WASN'T HIDING FROM THE COPS I WOULD HAVE BECAME A BOXER JUST TO KNOCK HIM OUT

  • rafael ruelas is sucks !

    De la hoya the best!

  • damas y caballerros

  • I fight gangster style.

  • @TXGunner so you close your eyes and swing away like some type of fucken helicopter?

  • @PxAxAxFxPxOi Hell yah I do....I beat up the fighters on Bully Beatdown yo! Word is born!

  • @TXGunner haha the fighters on bully beatdown suck dick

  • Oscar got a few gifts himself. He lost the Felix Sturm fight and ran the last 5 rounds of a the Tito fight. Oscar was fatigued terribly did not deserve the victory. A draw should have been awarded. Oscar did win the rematch to Mosely in my opinion. Oscar is one of the best but Ray's resume, even with a tainted Hagler victory, is better than Oscar's by a nose.

  • De la hoya was just as talented as ray leonard...........leonard lost to duran, an all time great lightweight, De la hoya lost to shane mosley a potentially all time great lightweight. Leonard beat duran in the rematch, De la hoya got robbed in the rematch. The big difference is that leonard beat hearns, the big puncher of his time. I think De la hoya beat trinidad the big puncher of his time......but the judges didn't agree. If he had got those wins he would be as great as sugar ray leonard.

  • @2308521 your comment is incomprehensible.

  • Beautiful performance by Oscar

  • @overdope69 you are hes bitch y se la mamas a juan gabriel!!!!!! hahahahahahahha

  • De la Hoya is a bad ass!!! I still like him

  • Mayweather will make it look easy!!!! He's got too much talent!! It'll be like the mosley fight for him.

  • @JuggaloMindCrime666 commenting on here is simple... Just type all the BS you can think of!!!!! Example... "Pacquiao took the Olympic tests"..(he hasn't). He agreed to take them but not randomly. In other words he'll take them when he decides... He wants to say when.... Lol funny huh? If you're clean you take them WHENEVER!!!!! PAC juices!!!!

  • Oh.... And did i mention he won Gold at the olympics?? What does it take to get respect in boxing??? Oscar was awesome.

  • Its very simple to see that oscar was great.... U can say he lost big fights.... But remember, to lose big fights u have to TAKE the big fights!!! Oscar was an artist in the ring.... Without strerroids.... Which mosley took to beat him... And pac still takes today.

  • @edgartambora The only time steroids ever came up against Pacquiao was when "Pussy Boy" Mayweather made him undergo olympic-style drug testing (which Gayweather never had subjected any other opponent to, I might add). Pac-Man did all the tests asked of him and Mayweather wanted him to take more, so Pacquiao said 'Fuck it'. And I don't blame him! He never tested positive for steroids in his life and Mayweather walked away from a gauranteed $60 mil payday! Mayweather is a scared little bitch!!

  • @JuggaloMindCrime666 mayweather will box pacman

  • @JuggaloMindCrime666 PEDOPUSSY KINDA LIKE YOU ? ROFLMAO BEGGING FOR 100 DOLLARS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROFLMAO

  • There is nothing special about De la Hoya. OK. He's good in trowing punches, but he was never good in defense and against really talented and gifted fighters like Whitaker or even Mosley he wasn't showing anything.

  • I agree with Dwade305. Freddie Pendleton should have been fighting ODLH here and NOT Ruelas. Freiddie, who rarely got a break in his career was well and truly stiffed in his IBF Lightweight title defence against Ruelas. You can also be sure that Fressie would have given Oscar a much tougher fight than Ruelas did here.

  • i agree judgmentdey de la hoyas record right now retiring should be 41-4-(30ko's)

  • freddie pendleton shoulda been fighting de la hoya. not rafael ruelas... ruelas didnt even beat freddie... it was a robbery.

  • lol your just bitter coz dlh was embarassed big time lol. your dick riding the steroid issue. and as of pacman ducking floyd? are you nuts? he agrees now to the terms and floyd has get some excuses again and saying he will take a year off from boxing. what a shame lol. bye bitch! your making full of excuses to your dlh boy who got his face smashed.

  • @thunderstruck103085 The case regarding catchweights and steroids are valid. This is the same Pacman that was KO'd twice by no names with one punch when he was 112pds. A lot of "Pacman experts" out there but not a lot of "Boxing experts". The filipinos get their 1st popular boxer and all of the sudden you guys act like you invented the sport.

  • @jperez9805 valid your face lol. no evidence no validity. bye bye bitter boy haha

  • @thunderstruck103085 Hey buddy, I'm not bitter. You're the Pacman fan going out of your way to dig up old De La Hoya fights with the sole purpose of talking smack on the posts. What does that say about you? If you're so confident in Pac's "legacy", you wouldn't be here posting negative things. Cheers, kid.

  • @jperez9805 lol bitter boy. bye

  • @thunderstruck103085 Hey, no worries, son. :)

  • tht boo to richard steele is harsh

  • People seem to forget that De La Hoya was a bad Motherfucker!

  • there were no taylor or tyson fans in the crowd most fans remembered him for bein the referee in chavez first loss he got booed

  • LOL when they introduce the ref, is he THAT bad?

  • He is just extremely controversial and its like a running joke, lets boo Richard Steele.

  • rafael ruelas is my uncle=]

  • Comment removed

  • they boo richard steele for chavez randall fight u fuckin idiots when chavez lost for the first time got a poit taken away

  • @esepitbull

No, Steele was booed because he stopped Chavez-Taylor I and Tyson-Ruddock I too early. He had a history of calling bad stoppages, but he kept getting big fight assignments...that's why the audience didn't like him. The only thing controversial about Chavez-Randall I was that the judges scored the fight much closer than it actually was - Chavez was clearly beaten that night, Steele or no Steele.

  • very true.999 out of 1000 fighters with his abilities dont even get to fight for a title but he had a lot of heart

  • this is the oscar de la hoya i used to like,Not so developed yet but focused, agressive and explosive

  • AWESOME LA HOYA WON!!!

  • my uncle!! that niggah had to retire.. fuuuck.

(yes rafael ruelas is my uncle)

  • Damn niggas don't like richard steele?!? lol

  • niggas hate richard steele because he stop the fight Chavez vs Taylor seconds before the end

  • Look at Oscar! What a babe.:S

  • Poor poor sorry ass Ruelas kept trying to bully the far more talented Oscar and got knocked out for chasing his ass. Nice corner work Goosen ya bitch. Lol I loved how he tried to win the Mexican crowd by sayin he was from Jalisco when he's really from SoCal. Straight Bitch! Way to rep Oscar!

  • Don't say something like that man... yeah he's from SoCal, hell I was with him on several occasions myself... but us Mexicanos represent our heritage. I was born in Orange County and raised in Estrada Courts Projects, East Los Angeles, para hemplo, and I still would pay respect to my roots from Zacatecas. Im an Oscar fan all the way but please just dont knock Rafael...

  • It's okay to like your heretage, but when we have millions and millions of Mexicans living in our nation lillegally (not paying taxes), AND flying the Mexican flag by itself (to which there is now a $50 fine for in some western States, it gets a little much.

Sorry, but that's the way I feel.

  • I respect your angle, but keep in mind... that particular area was our land originally. So there were a lot of us there because, well, it was our land. Now my people come to try and make a better living for themselves by taking jobs that most white people won't do anyway.

Flying flags, well, I can understand you not liking. I fly both, personally. I'm a Veteran of the U.S. Army through 9/11 so I feel I need to be true to my Nations.

  • dont follow a puncher

  • micheal buffer im gonna miss your voice boxing wont be the same

  • dreadful camera work!

  • Wheres he going??

  • look at all those jabs!!

    he was the greatest!

  • good fight!!!!

  • They all jeer Richard Steele, must have been after the Taylor-Chavez fight.

  • Right uppercut, Jab than a Right Hook

  • Besides the fact that Oscar was great in this fight, I also noticed just how good a commentator Roy Jones was.

  • (8:01) daaaaaaaaamn!

  • "Oscar has always looked great against Average fighters like this"

Ruelas was hardly an average fighter. 43-1 34 KOs a champion!

  • judgement is right... absolutely

  • De La Hoya was robbed big time twice in his carrer.

    against Trinidad

    Against Sugar Shane 2

De la hoya in his prime would have embarresed Paquiao and Mayweather!

  • Strongly agree with you 100% I was about to say that!!!!

  • Man you know ur Boxing

  • when DLH was in his prime weighing 135lbs, floyd mayweather hadnt even began his professional carrer and paquiao had just began and weighed around 110 lbs... yeah im sure dlh would have embarresed them two if he fought them then... thats not a legal argument you can say the same thing about all the over the hill fighters that oscar fought when he was in his prime

  • Ur damn right yo i agree with u pal

  • Prime JC Chavez school would em all!

Anyone looking forward to Fight Night Round 4?

  • that is true. in his prime chavez was unstoppable I just wish hestay as long as he did

  • Yeah I'm I hope they have a Prime JC Chavez on the Game. From i heard the list of guy on it arn't that good.

  • Dammit! They said they had forty fighters. This may be the last one they can make as the popularity of the sweet ass science is waning, while oiled up man wrestling viewership is at all time highs. They can't ignore the fact that Boxing is a sport of immigrants and poor, can't leave out the beaners, we're essential.

  • He beat more than just nobodies, it's kinda hard when they scared of you. He fought all them nobodies while he was waiting for real mofos to step up. And he knocked Taylor the fuck out, he could have saved himself all he had to do was nod and homie couldn't even do that much.

  • chavez knocked taylor 2 times greg haugen won to macho camacho edwin rosario more than 11 years without loss

  • I knock you out 2 times, and win you.

  • p0p3y380, let me educate you when you bash JC Chavez' competition:

Chavez has more wins agaisnt world champions than any fighter in history.

  • @judgementdey In his prime, he still would of had a hard time against Mayweather and Pacquiao.

  • @judgementdey damn straight!! the golden jab will straight fuck them up

  • @judgementdey

De La Hoya would never have "embarrassed" Pacquiao or Mayweather, even at his best. Both those men have had more successful careers than Oscar - and beat him in the process - and would rank above him on any respectable all-time P4P list. Early in his career, Oscar padded his record with smaller opponents (Paez, Molina, Leija, Chavez, etc.). As soon as he started competing against fighters his own size, he ceased to be a dominant champion.

  • @garethac81 I agree that DLH would have lost to Floyd, but not Pac.

DLH did in fact beat most of his opponents who were his size, not sure where you got that from.

In his prime, he only lost in a clear fashion to Sturm, Hopkins, and Floyd. And yes, I will always say that he was the CLEAR winner against Trinidad and Mosley 2.

Pacquiao never impressed me. Cherry picking fights, cathweights, and fighting fading champions.

  • @MoneysnHoneys lol excuses again to pac? fading champs old ones blah blah blah your funny. and you say cherry picking? lol his promoters who are choosing his fights not pac so its not his fault. any way why bother fighting him? what a tard

  • @thunderstruck103085 Let me just say that Pacquiao is the most overrated boxer who ever lived. This will be clear when he fights Floyd in November.

  • @MoneysnHoneys lol overrated blah blah blah. lol

  • @judgementdey eventually pac and may embarassed your so cold golden baby. lol so stop crying their

  • @thunderstruck103085 Ugh sure you have short memory did you forget that DLH won on 1 of the judges score cards against mayweather. DLH was well out of his prime when he fought Pacquiao, in his prime DLH would have jabbed and outboxed pacquaio and YES DLH has a strong chin he took pac power at age 35 in his 20's he would have emberrased pacquaio.

  • @judgementdey lol but its the other way around. so dont be bitter. pacman embarassed dlh and some of you says its a no match before the fight. the its true pacman demolished dlh lol. prime or not dlh will have trouble to pacman. by the way its true that dlh has a strong chin but look at his face lol

  • Freddie Roach said that DLH is so occupied with his businesses that he is no longer a full time boxer. Add that with his old age and his dehydration and you have a shell of his former self. If Pacroids actually fought the DLH that BEAT Trinidad, BEAT Mosley (in the rematch), and beat the other roid head Vargas, then Pacroids would've probably been tko'd.

Besides, most analysts believe that Pacroids lost at LEAST one of his fights against JMM...even Floyd haters like Brian Kenny believes this!

  • @MoneysnHoneys your just bitter coz dlh was beaten by the greater competition. your full of excuses babe lol. and your a tard for calling pacman pacroid coz you have no evidence and dickriding the issue. bye end discusion lol

  • @thunderstruck103085 It's true that DLH lost to greater competition (example: Floyd), but his loss against Pac was nothing special. Many other fighters could have beaten such a sub standard DLH that day.

Pacroids is just a fad, a creation by Bob Arum, etc, that will be exposed in Nov.

  • @MoneysnHoneys your just bitter to pacman coz he beat dlh ass. what a shame he quit on his stool. underestimation of an opponent will make you more embarasses lol

  • @thunderstruck103085 Yeah I think I already told you why he lost. DLH also lost to Floyd and I consider to be the best ever.

I'd be more embarrassed of Pacroids, who not only is suspected of using steroids by multiple boxers, but he also is a habitual catchweight-demander and Floyd ducker.

When Floyd tko's Pacroids on the 10/11th round, don't forget who told you about it first.

  • @judgementdey i agree 100,000%.

  • @judgementdey you have stolen the words right out of my mouth. You clearly understand the sport.

  • @judgementdey Agreed.

  • @judgementdey but its the other way around lol. the two embarassed dlh

  • @judgementdey oscar would of jab them all night!!!

  • @judgementdey He should have given Sturm a rematch.

  • @judgementdey he was not robbed against trinidad hell noooo watch that fight again he ran like a chicken all fight and trinidad went after him...

  • @judgementdey I thought he edged out Mayweather for the win.

  • @judgementdey i dont think so man but he was robbed

  • @judgementdey the reason he started slacking was because of the trinidad robbery...if he won he wouldnt get uninterested and he wouldve not recorded that album, hw wouldve been koing muthafukas out

  • Thumbs up if you think that Roy Jones sounds like he is stoned during the commentary...

  • Oscar has always looked great against Average fighters like this

  • Ruelas Brothers were great Mexican fighters too

  • roy jones is the best boxing analysis

  • thats what you get if do nothing but, coming forward and trying to fight offensive without any good defense against oscar!! youll get hit and hit. Pacman prevailed through speed and enough power.

  • he had abig advantage by having oscar comedown in weight oscar was tired and you could see it lets see if pac man goes up to meet oscar at his weight that would be good

  • It's great to watch these older fights...to see dlh moving quickly and smoothly and LATERALLY instead of the stiff robot he fights like now and why he ever got away from his jab in big fights is incredible to me....anyhow, funny what being young can do for you...guy was just a shadow of himself tonight...stay retired oscar PLEASE!!

  • i remember this event it was the first boxing matches i saw and loved boxing from then on...a shame that oscar didn't get the rematch against mayrunner.....

  • what was so good about ruelas? He kinda has noodle arms

  • haha I agree but he surprised me against Tszyu.

    he can kep going.

    although it seems rather awkward

  • No luv 4 Richard Steel hear that crowd when they said his name lol

  • It's kind of funny to hear that there were questions about Oscar's chin back then. Today, it's quite known Oscar has a great chin. He's never been ko'ed by a head punch.

  • damn, de la hoya was skinny, this is his first PPV

  • this was actually his 3rd ppv

  • your mother sucked my dick faggot

  • chinga la tuya pendejo si eres chicano entonces tus padres son mexicanos no digas mamadas pinche indio ingnorante hijo de la verga insultas a los mexicanos cuando un mexicano le metio la verga a tu madre y saliste tu pendejo

  • Yeah, Gabriel Ruelas was never the same after the fight with Garcia. Tragic.

  • He had a great fight with Gatti after the Garcia fight even though he got KO'd

  • anyone remember ruelas's brother gabriel. one the first fights i saw was gabriel ruelas vs. jimmy garcia. jimmy garcia literally got beat to death. if anyone has that video please post it up

  • yeah i heard somthing like that wasnt he colomiban the boxer that died..

  • que vergaso le puso cuando lo tumbo

  • de la hoya da best!!

  • Fuck sweet pea the point is he lost...Dumb niggers they cant handle it when they get their ass whooped

  • Oscar won clearly,117-110 Quit crying bitch

  • dude my uncle just stood there because he said he couldnt hear anything

  • Rafael muevete wey, en la segunda caida te quedastes parado wey,te entraron los golpes como Oscar por tu casa, muevete a la chingada!

  • I think they boo'd richard steele because of the Meldrik Taylor and chavez fight? anyone agree?

  • I TOTTALLY AGREE WITH U

  • Thats bull shit and u know that. He beat Hernandez who was undefeated, he beat mosleytwice but did not get the decision watch the fight before u make judgment. He beat felix trinidad but again got screwed, he beat vargas and he should have got the decision against mayweather everyone agrees, i say the only ones he truly lost were to hopkins and Sturm but he was giftwraped that decision.

  • i agree wit u, de la hoya is a real good fighter, but sum reason from the begining of his career he got hated on, i am still a de la hoya fan!!

  • He beat Mosely and Trinidad and got fucked!

  • just shut up. period.

  • Your crazy, Sweet Pea beat Oscar. Pea got robbed

  • i didnt know running like a bitch counted as winning.

  • I knew running like a bitch was the reason he lost to Trinidad.

  • Ha ha did yall see Oscar clowning Ruelas right after the bell?? i like this Oscar better than the current one, this Oscar didnt give a fuck what people said he was an asshole yet a damn great fighter!

  • It was an East LA pride thing... had nothing to do with being an asshole... I lived in East Los when this fight went down and watched it in a bar with a bunch of drunk asses... it was great. Of course, being from East LA I had been a fan of Oscar since I was little.

  • Oscar sure had too much punching power for all light weights

  • Ruelas got his ass beat by a better fighter...Oscar De La Hoya simply the best!

  • As if that wasn't obvious enough.

  • OOps you're right.

  • oscar was a great boxer-puncher in these days

  • Why should he have won? Because he's your uncle? He most certainly didn't win the fight.

  • well he could of won cause he clearly had some chances when he was down to bite oscar's legs off.

  • EAsy money, baby!

  • man my primo rafael should of won.its alright next time cuz.

  • wow he"s actualy taller than oscar at lightweight

  • oscar should be trained by alcazar again. he made oscar a fearless punching machine. that was the best triner oscar's had. oscar is a great champion

  • funny...that one made me laugh.

  • True. And who doesn't love a trannie? Dammit oscar, i want you bad.

  • I like how they boo'd the ref HAHA

  • Boxing fans began booing Richard Steele after he stopped the Chavez-Whitaker fight. Many fans wanted a clueless, confused, woozy Whitaker to continue fighting. Chavez really kicked Whitaker's ass through out the fight.

  • Just like his brother Gabe....Rafael has no defense.

He got away with it because he was usually bigger than his opponents but the speed of Oscar easily won this fight.

  • testing testing 1 2 3

  • gabriel was the better fighter more technically sound and a great defense rafael was the the harder puncher ruelas pendelton wha t a great fight 3 times off the deck to kick pendeltons cocky ass

  • This is my uncle and i got all of his stuff so if you want to buy something hit me up. and fuck all you haten ass bitches ill go in the ring with that gay ass golden bitch and put my family back in fame.

  • I remember seeing this fight and thinking that Ruelas had a chance against De La Hoya. Alas, De La Hoya smoked him. Very one sided fight with a great difference in class. De La Hoya didn't even crack a sweat or perhaps even elevate his heart rate. He knew he was fighting a chump. Ruelas' brother was a better fighter I thought. Rafael was a bit of a wuss.

  • does anyone have ruelas loss to george scott? iwant it bad. it was a good fight.
