i used to take weekend road trips to folly from lexington and loved it, then i moved to sobe mia expecting good surf whenever but it sucks down here. we only get good swells when hurricanes hit, otherwise its shit.

LOVE IT!! I was down in folly this past september and we got a big swell in from a passing hurricane..it was about 1 to 2 overhead...had so much fun..keep rippin!!

I'm originally from Long Island. The waves are great up there just too short a window due to the cold. You need to travel down here and Florida when it gets icy up there.

You need to strap on a 6mm and enjoy the cold icy barrells all to yourself. I do it every year.

I'm from LI bro. I surf all year long and every Longsilander knows that to jumping into the 36 degree water without one would only give you about an hour session. If you enjoy surfing and want to spend a few hours out there you need the 6mm

I grew up surfing Gilgo and Cedaar beach.Buying my boards at Bunger. I remember the thick divers suits and fires on the beach to thaw out. I'm a puss now. When it hits 50 I go snowboarding till it warms up again.

Noel was like the only good hurricaine for people like me up in new jersey, i got some nice shacks.
