damn i remember watching this game when i was just 7 and i was soo pissed when the lakers beat my blazers...although this still makes me upset to watch..thanks for the upload man
If You have a brain you can see that the Refs. Controled the game! They also did not call the foul on Sabonas @ the end of the game that would have @ worse case there would have been an overtime! If the refs. had been honest through the whole game The Blazers would have beaten the Fakers 121 to 79!!!!!
i've never heard so much criticism for a guy w/6 rings. here's the case w/pip: an myp caliber talent, tenacious, all-world defender, a periodic head case (certainly not alone there), and a #2 guy. it's difficult to say what would have become of pippen if not for jordan, and vice versa. look at his 94/95 seasons w/a shit lineup next to him. what if pip was taking the game winners? does his psychological makeup change? perhaps, but they clearly were both good for each other, period.
About the towel thing: Pippen was probably also mad at both Stoudamire and Sabonis for not passing him the ball when he was wide open for 3 on the last play. He was hot down the stretch and could have knocked it down. And did you see how Harper knocks Pippen down with about 17.8 left and then how Pip and Rice trip each other up with about 9.7 left? Not saying they should have been fouls, just saying.
the comment by the person who posted this is simply entirely false. Remember this: Jordan won 1 playoff game w/o Pippen. Pipp did not choke down the stretch in this series, he simply did not attempt game-winning shots. and he was not trying to "unnerve" anyone on the Lakers.
nonplayerzealot4, don't listen to this imbecile. Keep uploading the great videos and bringing the insightful commentaries. I don't know what series this guy was watching.
Wow, very ignorant comment on your part, xoxo383. There you go w/ the old "Jordan never won shit w/out Pippen!" line. You are another in a long line of Pippen jockers, a dedicated group of revisionist historians who seem to think that Pippen was a hard-nosed clutch performer who was just as responsible as MJ for those 6 titles. Like I do w/ all of you nitwits, I suggest you read Sam Smiff's "The Jordan Rules".
I never said Pippen was as responsible as Jordan for the 6 titles, and I'm not revising any history. Yes, Pip was a particularly big clutch performer throughout his career, but in his prime plus more MJ was always the #1 option. At the end of game 3, Pippen was open at the 3-point line but was not passed the ball. That right there could have been a clutch 3 for him.
Titles aren't always won with the scorer...hell, MOST of them aren't. Pippen was as valuable in getting the Bulls those six rings defensively. Even MJ can't guard everyone alone. Pip's D on guys like Magic in '91, Hardaway in '96 (yes, MJ often checked Anderson), and how he smothered Mark Jackson in '98...those were the deciding factors in those series. That's saying something because often, the Bulls had it harder getting out of the East than in the Finals themselves.
You should especially consider Pippen's no-show in Gm 7 of the 1990 ECF (and Jordan's subsequent mocking of him for years to come), as well as Gm 3 of the 1994 ECSF, when Pippen refused to enter the final 1.8 secs and cried on the bench as Kukoc drained the game-winning fadeaway.
Wasn't '90 ecf g7 Pip's migraine game? With a migraine large parts of your field of vision are wiped out, plus the severe pain. I have had them. Not even MJ or the glorified KB24 could perform well with that. If you think Pip was an arrogant, overly aggressive crybaby, have you heard of Nowitzki, Wade, KG, Pierce, Carmelo, and about 30 other current NBA stars, who all are 100 times worse than Pip ever was. Not to mention Laimbeer, who game Pip a concussion in '89 ecf, his other "no-show" game.
Kobe's very first 1st team all-defense...ignorant fans think clutch plays are all about making game winning shots. His defensive activity during the last 30 seconds sealed the victory at the infamous Rose Garden (where till this day, we seem to be contagious to winning). I also forgot why I didn't appreciate Rasheed's game back...now I know why...he was such a prick.
True, I left all his silly shit in there on purpose. He tried to unnerve the Lakers, and Kobe especially, for 7 games and he himself choked when it counted most (the usual ending for him w/o Jordan backing him up).
god we were so filthy back in the day

You missed the series, then. He was mad dogging Kobe the entire series, chest pounding, hit Salley on the head w/ a closed fist, etc etc.
