I am really happy that the patch is finally out and i did everything what stand in the instruction but i have a problem: i cant read,i mean thers nothing to read.the only letters are in the video ( the video where someone talks about the story of the land Ys ) but that was it.no description about the characters exist and when the people talk there are no letters,too. does someone have a solution about that and i have Win 7 but other people dont have this problem as i have o.o please help me D:

For a year I'm looking forward to the release of your patch for Ys Origin.

For my part, I've been working on the release of a CD image with all the Ys released for PC, including Eternal - Oath In Felghana - Ark of Napishtim, all in English. With a single installer created by me and many other things.

I wish you luck and hope that soon we can play Origin in English ...

@doppiapunta i think he has the patches mixed up >.> i think hes talking about the Oath patch. they were charging "initial donation fees" in order to download the patch then the dude flipped shit that someone leaked it and started accusing his entire donners list. at least according to what i read on archived message boards. i was laughing my ass off at it though.

Sorry to be a bother but does anyone know if this game would work on a normal U.S. computer? Since I've seen this game I've wanted to play it so much but I can't find any way to get a hold of it or any evidence that this game will even work for my computer. @MaGiiuxXx It's still in the works, don't worry. Oath in Felghana took a WHILE, and so did Ark of Napishtism. So yeah, if you haven't played those yet, you can go play them while waiting for this. The game has incredible amounts of texts too, so yeah...But they're still working, they uploaded pics to the homepage like 2 weeks ago.

It looks like it's not too far from being done (though I'm probably not one to talk), so don't worry!

The quality of the text and font is amazing.

Very eye pleasing.

There was a public discussion over Ancient Land Of Ys Board and fiinally the community decided to use Toal and dalles. That' the reason!

This is indeed a huge project... lol translating for seperate story line must be a pain in the ass.

To expound upon what Doppiapunta said, "Toal" is a legacy translation - the one area in Ys II, which featured this same name written exactly the same way in Japanese, has always been known as the "Sanctuary of Toal" - and Toal also seems more appropriate, since "Thor" brings to mind a specific image, which doesn't even remotely fit with the character in the game. (He's not a bearded god with a hammer!) ;)

The patch won't be released until it's complete, and right now it's nowhere near finished. The stuff in the trailer is all from the first hour of each character's route.
