OK, I have a Qtek 9100. Here are the steps:
1) Push comm button
2) Use dpad to navigate to WLAN
3) Push button
4) Wait for dialog box to appear to select network
5) Select network

WOW! These guys are idiots.
Last time I used that device you turn wireless on and a pop-up window shows up and that's where you can put the settings in...if needed. If it's free wireless then all you have to do it click on the network.
Must be Mac fanboys. :)
