Wasn't that bad of a suck out. If you can't handle losing something that happens as frequently as a 2 outer, then you need to find a new profession.

Going all in with the 2nd best hand also doesn't mean you're going to lose - part of the decision making process assumes that that could be an outcome, but even in that situation, you have odds of winning. If you didn't have odds of winning when you don't have the best hand, then no one would ever have a net profit... no one.

this isnt too bad of a suckout. Suckouts happen, thats poker. gus is a very loose player and tends to overplay some pairs in cash games (watch hsp where he makes a call with jacks that costs him a load)

Gus was probably trying to steal the blinds by making the raise and thought that David was trying to resteal them back, so he just called and hit top pair. Top pair is very hard to fold in a heads up situation so he went all in. David Called of course and got sucked out on. It happens.

You get your money as a 60/40 dog, you're going to win 40% of the time, so you only need a 40% chance of winning to make it a good call.

Gus flopped top pair, took a chance and won. Gus always plays rag cards at certain times and David Benjamyne knows this. He has played against him MANY times. All Benjamyne had was a pair looking for a set. Hand aint over until all 5 community cards are drawn with an all in and a call. Also...Got news for ya. If it wasnt for luck, NO one would be heard of. The flop was all rags and considering Gus is KNOWN for playing rags all the fkn time, Benjamine was gambling by calling an all in with ONE pair.
