Rainy Day Paintball- tips for playing in the rain

@paintballtechpb Taping over the porting on the end of the barrel doesn't affect trajectory because there is not a perfect fit between barrel and bullet (unlike a firearm). Most of the pressure behind a paintball escapes around it before passing halfway down the barrel. That's also why extremely long barrels don't necessarily grant any higher velocities. BUT! The holes do alter the surface of the bore and affect spin, covering the outside of these holes doesn't change this.

@realsteelpaintball The co2 freezing is matter of temperature so if it's raining but its kinda hot nothing is going to happen but if climate is very cold yes it's going to freeze up faster

It may not be the same for paintball but I know that porting on a firearm is designed to reduce recoil. It shouldn't have any impact on the flight of the projectile.

i take a paint bag cut a hole on the top and the end slide the barrel threw the end and the hopper threw the top and my hand goes threw the hole in the bag it works good it covers up the marker but not the barrel and tank

and also if im not using a electric loader im just using a old fasioned gravity hopper will that bother my gun and will rain hurt my gun even though it does not have any elec tronics in it just a bt4 combat with a regular old fasioned gravity hopper with no electronics pleaz comment back

@metallifreak669 If you have a regular lid, not a speed feed, then you dont really need to worry. I think the idea behind keeping your hopper dry is because the water will ruin your accuracy

Here in The Netherlands we have these plastic like covers for bicycle seats, i think those also can be very good to put over your hopper instead of a regular paintball bag.

@baseballboycarlos I live in ft lauterdale. If your willing to travel a bit there's a place in home stead called head shots it's amazing there. They have a woods ball and air ball field there. It's 18 entrance fee for all day unlimited air and you can buy there paint or bring your own I recommend bringing your own paint.

hey mike another good tip for saving your board, take the grips off your gun, put a plastic grocery bag over your grip frame, the screw the grips back in, tearing off any excess bag.

that priticular barrel he is using is a stiffy barrel and the prots are to make the marker quiter and does not affect shoot what so ever it just makes it quiter

The reason paint hurts more when you play in the winter is because the gelatin shell gets hard and brittle. Instead of popping when hit the paintball is more or less crushed. Your skin is more sensitive as well because it is cold.

u can get full auto on a tippmann if you purchase an aftermarket part called an electronic grip. this grip uses batteries and can give you fully auto and 3 shot and what not
