It's so that at the end, when he puts the coin in the temple, he goes to the next full level, and gains 900 points for beating the first temple, instead of something along the lines of 100-200 points.

I wish they had used the same engine they made Zelda 1 with for this game. The corrected a ton of mistakes they made with this game in the snes version, including going back to the gods eye view system, but I would love to play another 8 bit version of the game similar to the original.

i would say ocarina of time is the best of the series, and the best game for n64. I would also say that legend if zelda is the greatest game series of all time...most people don't get that even though it's old school it's still better than a lot of new games....

This game was an absolute hit with me. I found it very challenging yet winnable. I also liked the fact you could make Link jump, crouch, thrust his sword up or down, and use magic. I was absolutely addicted.

This game brings back so many memories. Most valuable skill to have: downthrust, hands down. I use the same technique on those... I guess they're still called darknuts, heh. Very smart using the level ups like you did. I never thought of using it that way. For a while I never knew you could choose to level up the same thing.
