  • What does it matter what Keith went thru personally? Lets remember what he gave the world - He was very gifted in many ways - His singing - the love he gave to us all - he will be missed by those who can look past his failures and see the man inside - I for one look for the good in every person as so should every one - we all thru pain - it is our own decision as to how we handle that pain - Keith you were a greater singer and i for one love your music

  • So sad. The greatest country singer of his generation. He never looked or appeared as a typical alcoholic. To my knowledge he never made a fool of himself in public. I always saw him as a gentleman.

  • I always think Kurt Cobain were similar people in their music. Not just because they both died too young but unlike many artists, their songs are inspired by true pain/true life. Remember Keith had his home burn down as a kid on Christmas Eve. Yes I did just compare Kurt with Keith.

  • @kangafizzle I agree, even if other people hate it. They are two of my favorite artists.

  • My love of 5 years died of Alcoholism. But this disease did not diminish the fact that the last breath of life my love would have given to anyone who was in need. I cry for Keith Whitley, but I remember most of all, the songs that poured from his deep beautiful soul, and a love that caused him to feel the hurts of so many, and I felt he was sad that he could not just heal the hurts of the whole world. And that is what drives many to alcohol. I know. I lost my love to it.

  • @ridemecowboyone keith also had a gigantic cocaine problem. that mixed with alcohol is what killed him

  • But the song,He put the bottle to his head, is just what he done. and man, i loved his songs.

  • He is just one among a great many young artests that died way to young. another is Mel Street. He was a mighty good singer.

  • this vidio was in poor taste! get a life

  • i love the late great. this goes out to his family.

  • R.I.P...The "greatest country singer" on earth, Singing in heaven with the ANGELS!!

  • God keep you.

  • No, Keith isn't kin to Vince!! This is a terrible video!!! It portrays our Keith in such a terrible way!!! Why would you wanna lie like this?

  • wow u people really need to get a life and live ur own and stop worrying so much about others...he left us with great songs period he was a great talent...thats where it stops..take a look in the mirror b4 u go talking shit about someone else

  • Lori morgan killed him

  • @destinym2011 yes , i agree she a true whore, on her 10th husband i think now..shes dog ass ugly too..dam near killed kershaw too..and still might...must b some good stuff

  • @destinym2011 Lorrie Morgan did not kill him. She use to tie herself to him at night to keep him from drinking. Don't smear her or Keith, he loved her so much and would be hurt to her that. Long live the legand of Keith Whitley what a great talant, man and Kentuckian.

  • good man

  • i miss my cousion even though i didnt really no him

  • i realized who this song is about (whisky lullabye) sorry you had to die kieth

  • :*(****************

  • he is a grate singer like his haft brother vince gill. he wrote go rest high song for keith whitley

  • @1988topdog Vince Gill and Keith Whitley wasn't related. Vince started writing go rest high on that mountain right after Keith died, but he didn't finish the song until a few years later when his brother Bob Gill died in 1993. So he really wrote the song as a tribute to both of them.

  • is that what happen his wife cheated on him and he found her in bed with another man and he drank himself to dealth what the heck that mess up :-(I like keith whitley he a great singer

  • RIP Keith

  • damm the alcohol, family and friends suffer too, when something like this happens, it takes yrs to get over it, if they ever do, he was a great singer

  • Still remains cunning, baffling and powerful isn't it. Can't we talk about Keith the musician and not Keith the drunk, we owe him at least that don't we?

  • hell come on it wasnt the war that killed him it was the lady

  • Wow this is funny, this is the same movie for Whiskey lullaby.

  • @Mattdevil007 ironic LOL

  • i know wat he went through i had to watch my dad go through the same shit wen he came back from nam he just couldnt get drunk enough forget wat he saw and wen i came along in 91 it almost killed him to but i know wat he went through

  • I understand Keith. He was just seeking relief from the pain.

  • He died too young!

  • damm alcohol

  • @garda611 sorry ...but alcohol IS NOT the problem! It is the result of a problem. When people are ready to take their heads out of their asses nothing will change!!!!

  • @5998ewie until you live his life how dare you say that!! are you an addict?? do u know what its like???

  • @lennymo36 there ant no way any 1 has to do any thing thay dont wont to do
