@manny310801 -- I don't know if it's really techno--that's the closest label I could put on it at the time. This year's festival is supposed to be the biggest yet. It's on March 26.
I respect your viewpoint, although I disagree. The United States has always been a cultural melting pot and I feel we all benefit from it. This celebration also had educational displays on the benefits of vegetarianism and peaceful protests. As for partying, it wasn't drunken revelry or drug-based. It was people getting together to watch various *pure* cultural dances and music and had only this one "techno" type mix.
Indian Culture cannot exported to west and western to India, its better if we leave it to be independent at their own places , Our sages would have never thought their pure mantras like Hare Krishna and Hare Rama in the future could be used for some techno partying..
@rakeshinnovation ...hinduism is great....but talking about sages and priests, they were responsible for creating caste systems in india...so just shut up and get happy when other human is happy... rather than giving quotations of sages and priest.
@rakeshinnovation there is nothing wrong with techno, its just another form of music, just like bhajans. music is music. and im pretty sure krishna would allow this, as he loves everyone. this is coming from an indian born and raised in canada.
