I don't know but Apple puts a lot of work into their boxes. I'm not even lying, people make unboxing videos becasue of the amazing presentation of the boxes. I was looking at an Apple MacBook Air box and I was amazed. You never find a PC with this kind of packaging.

I don't like MACs, they are so limited hardware wise, you have to get upgrades done by Apple. Windows and computers with Windows, have a higher hardware support area, unlike MACs.

More ram and bigger hard drive would deifinitely be helpful, and the old macbook pros have heating problems, whereas the new ones have next to no eat problems at all, which is good if you are using the laptop for extended periods of time.

Too bad it doesn't work as seamlessly, intuitively, or beautifully as a Mac. Guess what? There's a reason yours was under a grand, and the Mac is not - and it' not just brand loyalty (well, it actually might be, but it's because of the amazing quality of the products). There's a reason almost every serious graphic design studio, music studio, and film production (at least those music/film projects that are using computers) uses Mac - and it's not just because they have pretty casing.

Well, for school, the Mac is still the better option because it's a better computer. But as far as gaming goes, yes, there's more games available on PC. But, to use the car analogy again, just because there's more aftermarket crap available for a Civic doesn't make it a better car than a Bentley.

Personally, I don't like doing my gaming on a computer. I'd rather play games on a console, and leave my computer's resources to my photography, design, music, film projects etc.

I like being able to insert a disk, and play a game on my couch on my big screen - not have to install it and possibly having to track down some driver I need (which happens more often than it should on a PC), etc. I'll occasionally play a game on a computer, but not often.
