I was told you shouldn't feed a turtle goldfish because these type of fish carry a lot of bacteria - harmful to a turtle, im not sure its what a reptile breeder told me.

aw poor fish but oh well. i feed my turtle guppies sometimes but they are smareter and faster than my turtle.(they hide underneith him so he cant find them)

Where could I get a baby WESTERN PAINTED TURTLES?

they are somewhat harder to find look for an exotic pet dealer as some speacialize in turtles. most common pet stores wont have them and if they do they may not have been kept in a good condition and may have disease if this is your final option find a vet that knows about turtles and take whatever turtle you may get to the vet. also try petfinder or simply google turtle breeders searching on your own can be helpful to because you may also come across helpful information good luck on your search

I wish I could free all those turtles held prisoners in small tanks like that, but I only had enough money for 2 *sigh*
