Oui ! Gloria a commencé le fonctionnement dans le cinéma silencieux. Elle a dû transmet l'émotion avec l'expression du visage et la langue de corps. Quand le son est venu filmer elle a eu le même plus grand pouvoir. Il n'y personne a comme son aujourd'hui.

WOW. In those last photographs, Gloria was 75 years old! A beautiful face and an amazing force of personality. That is a REAL star.

I loved this video. Gloria Swanson was an amazing actress and person. The silent film stars are enigmas to me; they contributed so much to Hollywood, which in turn closed its eyes to them. Still, they lived.Only some people care enough to remember them.

I recently flew over those Gloria Swanson mountains when I went to Salt Lake City, en route to see Miss Loy.

She had the last words of the film "Every day is beautiful, your just too young to know!" Bless her. Thanks Glor.

So glad you enjoyed this - I was stunned when Jack Mitchell showed me his incredible photographs of Swanson, hundreds of them never-before-seen or published (and he has so many great stories about her). I wish he would do a book of his photos of her with his remembrances.

Yes, she was into a low carb macrobiotic diet (way ahead of her time) and was notorious for taking her own food to dinner parties! She lead a crusade against processed foods and co-authored a book about it "Sugar Blues" in 1975. A fabulous person on-screen and off!
