You sure it is a mustang? Look at centre propellor. The hole looks like for a 20/30 mm gun. Rather a Focke Wulf 109 then. in combination with the radial engine (fat nose)
yes, it could be early war p51. I was thinking late war spitfire with square wing tips.

It is a Mustang, it has a 4 bladed prop... No German fighter had that.
