Are you putting the lights directly on you? If you are, point them at the ceiling instead and facing against the walls, that way it bounces the light and it'll be a little less hot, I hope this helps. :)

try an angle from slighty above, it will reduce shadow and be more slimming on your face and upper body. Just be careful not to go at too high of an angle or it'l just look like you are looking up.

Are you putting the lights directly on you? If you are, point them at the ceiling instead and facing against the walls, that way it bounces the light and it'll be a little less hot, I hope this helps. :)
