If you listen to Amon Amarth over the years, early on it almost sounds like he's forcefully singing or yelling rather than grunting, while on the later stuff it switches to more "growl"-y (Surtur Rising is straight gurgle). I think he began doing the melodic lows and highs when it was closer to actual singing, and altered his style progressively over years and years so that now he can do a straight, low grunt or a nice high screech.

When it comes to music it all matters on taste. You like deep growls while i preffer higher pitched screams. But it doesnt matter if listen to bands like Vanna and Norma Jean and you listen to bands like Cannibal Corpse and Orgin. Its all a matter of taste and no one is forcing one another to listen to eachother's music. But even if i like Metalcore and Hardcore punk better that death metal i still like to occasionally listen to some death metal. So its all based on taste and thats what matters!

Not death metal, but metal in general. Im also opposed to the scene crowd, metalcore etc, but at least they they come in a separate part of metal genre of metal. I just think slipknot is not all that much, having more than one drummer does not make it brutal, but just that one drummer cant perform his task. AND they have a DJ in the band. I repeat i dont have anything against DJs and the scene crowd but it pisses me off when they think they're metal. Its spoiling the whole culture.

Thats what most nu-metal bands do, that is looking for other options to attract people when they cant achieve that with their playing. But hey if someone likes it, good for them. In one of your videos you mentioned that growl comes from diaphragm area - which you see is connected to a throat with a straight line.

I can't learn how to use it properly. I've been practicing diaphragm while whispering. And i can feel air coming from my stomach - not my vocal cords, and "whisper" sounds guttural. But when i try to release it - it just stops and sounds like crap - sound coming from my voice box.

Can you try explaining using of diaphragm (straight line) in your next video?

I've been trying to grow a beard since I was 13.

I am now 15 years old and have beard hairs (about 0.5-1.5 cm) + mustache hair, etc. (The hair is very thin, but noticeable)

I haven't been shaving for 2 years.

Would you recommend shaving up to two times a day, because I would like to have a beard myself. :)
