  • great chords again

  • nostalgia dei miei dread...ciao Marco

  • @alviolenza o bello... speriamo di registrarlo prima o poi (ma io 'un son bono a trova' i vaini... ;) baci

  • Woooouuuaaa ! magnifique ! bravo ! beau a pleurer ! félicitation !

  • @chocobann merci beaucoup!

  • Why Barrett is so great? Well, try to guess the metrics of this song.

  • AristY have you listened to the opel cover? if you say that song doesnt have great structure you would be wrong.

and as for barouque, johan strauss is better anyway...so nyyyyaaahhhhhh.

  • singer is not good on this song.

  • i've watched all of the videos and this series and think that the arrangments for these songs are amazing.

my only complaint is the singer, I feel that he is just a little too proper and a little pretentious for syd.

but thats just one mans opinion

  • Syd Barrett is OK but this is too much. use those instruments to play bach and leave barrett for the out of tune accoustic guitar with one string missing

  • well, barrett is close to bach more than you can imagine.

  • why?

  • because he was not only a songwriter, he was a great composer, too.

  • Bach put music to Luthers Bible, he wasnt a "songwriter" and besides he composed cantatas, somehow the equivalent to todays songs, and much more complex music too. I would say that Bach and Barrett are very different because Bach was not only a great composer but a great performer. The interest in comparing these two guys is like the interest in comparing an elementary particle to the cosmos.

  • It never occurred to my mind to compare bach and barrett. it was simply your first comment that induced me to do that. what I wanted to say is that when a musician is a great composer (and that simply means that he can write marvellous melodies), as both barrett and bach were, well, I think you can arrange his music also for a cell-phone ringing and it sounds good. so the problem is not in the instrumentation... perhaps the problem is mine - but that's quite another matter! ;-)

  • Aristydes, with all due respect I think your comment is absurd. No instrument is a monopoly of any particular kind of music. Quite the contrary. Wonderful things are born out of experimentation. Most or all the great pioneers of the History of music were great experimenters, including Johann Sebastian. BTW, I consider this work of Maestro Lenzi - classic versions of Syd Barrett's music - simply genial!

  • Amazing!!! Thank you!

  • i think this song is one of the best ever written

  • I agree ;-)

  • very nice... but i think they should have given time for some iprovisation...

  • well, that will be a next version! I just wanted to have this piece very austere, sober and rigid. thanks for your comment, maese2000!

  • Very nice and emotional Arrangements !!

  • woah! cant wait for 'opel' now!

  • Very nice.

  • I'm loving all of these!!

  • Tx for sharing. We like the selection.
