All this talk of rudders and I cannot see how any rudder was used to try and correct the plane on take-off. I see this happen so often, just punch it and hang on and the rudder is completely forgotten. Sorry to see this beauty go in.
nice airplane, but why in the hell would you continue the takeoff with that big right turn. It wasn't lined up with the runway at all, aborting would have been more prudent. I know, I have a 16' B24 and if they all don't come up together its power off, try again. Sorry for your loss, pretty airplane.
I was the builder, and the number 4 engine amputated my right index finger on an engine run/sync...OUCH! I believe, the left wing #1 and #2 engines lost power, as heard by a distinct change in engine sound and the "skid out" to the left. Sucks, but that's what makes the hobby fun and challenging. If it were like riding a bike....HOW BORING!!!!! I love the challenge!!
looks to me that when he powered down to cruise, after take off, one of the engines stayed full throttle and instigated a spin.

What did you do with the finger?
I have half of a finger nail on my right index finger from tuning a Webra 120 2 stroke with a APC prop.
