Cumbias are big in Mexico, even though they are originally from Columbia, IIRC.

Accordians (sp?) are not indigenous to Mexico but are a staple in Mexican music.

Check out "mr ChivO" for some good party-style "tropical" Cumbias.

Saw them in Johnstown PA last night. They are top notch musicians. Absolutely amazing. They may be getting older but some bands get better with age. Go see them you won't be disapointed. THEY ARE THE REAL DEAL.
