i still think the Nikkor 18-200VR is better although it lacks the 50mm difference the VR makes it 4 stops faster and also nikkor has better glass than tamron lol, he used a D200!!! AHAHA
Rumor has it that without an image stabilizer it isn't useful beyond 150mm without a tripod. Also, you need to be at f/8 or narrower for it to be sharp (same rumor).
i just used it lol (testing) and i've got a nikon (don't worry! canon and nikon are EVEN!!!!!!) i still think this lens is just too "over rated" like it has no VR/IS its a super zoom which means it extends hence gathers dust easily, and yeah its tamron (not having as good glass as nikkor or canon L series) so yeah!
whoahhhh.... I wonder about the image quality across the full range, but for a walk around lens that is pretty sweet.. 18-250 and look how small it is.. technology is always amazing
i learned NOTHING from this video

rdt1970, best thing to do is look at reviews and test the lenses yourself.

The lens doesn't need IS if the camera body has IS...can you say...PENTAX? ;-)
