A WW2 Vet said to me that war is considered glorious for old men and young fools. If you study the way that countries have promoted war as being glorious (sp) to excite young men into joining it truely is horrible and dishonorable. And it's been done for thousands of years to promote power for a few individuals. I have a feeling this movie is going to show that.

Eg. During WWI they became concerned about people being killed while looking over the parapet into no mans land, so they invented the trench periscope, so that no mans land could still be viewed, but from relative safety.

@deathjr1337zzz French Generals for the most part were slow learners, however they were more open minded & adapted to new tactics faster then the British & the Americans never learnt. If the French couldn't get to the Lost Battalion it's unlike do to poor generalship.
On another note; I can tell you know little of combat tactics, there is no such thing as a "middle flank". That's like saying middle arm. Why comment if you don't know what you're talking about?

However it's a common myth that the Mansion got the name "White House" after the War of 1812. @Tnartn The second Niagra Campaign was NOT a British Victory. Chippewaw was a resounding US victory that almost turned into a major British disaster. Lundy's lane was technically not a Brit victory. And you certainly had your butts handed to you at the siege of Ft. Erie, which you did NOT take back, and was the last fight of the campaign.

@deathjr1337zzz French Generals for the most part were slow learners, however they were more open minded & adapted to new tactics faster then the British & the Americans never learnt. If the French couldn't get to the Lost Battalion it's unlike do to poor generalship.
On another note; I can tell you know little of combat tactics, there is no such thing as a "middle flank". That's like saying middle arm. Why comment if you don't know what you're talking about?

However it's a common myth that the Mansion got the name "White House" after the War of 1812. @Tnartn The second Niagra Campaign was NOT a British Victory. Chippewaw was a resounding US victory that almost turned into a major British disaster. Lundy's lane was technically not a Brit victory. And you certainly had your butts handed to you at the siege of Ft. Erie, which you did NOT take back, and was the last fight of the campaign.
