They made a version of this witha forged steel con rod and needle bearings for a Chain saw in the early 50s.
They had an open header and Carter N carb.
Absolutely wonderful stuff to see another one running

That was on my Rupp Go kart back in the late 50's it was 2 1/2HP. The bad thing is the base mounting plate always came loose. But it ran great all the time.
