@BigORat The concept of Mahdi by no means reflects the beliefs of the majority of Muslims. Mainstream Islam actually rejects the concept of the Mahdi. There is no mention of the Mahdi in Quran. What you say is not incorrect (about Mahdi), but hadith are not scripture and are used for shock value often by people who don't understand them.

@KimberlySeven No they don't. There's no mention of the Mahdi in Quran, so any so called prophecy attributed to a source other than Quran is an outright fabrication. The irony is that Shoebat consistently quotes Hadith to prove his point. They are NOT scripture and are NOT seen to be of Divine origin by Muslims. They are the reason for corruption in Islamic practice much like the Cannons and other pagan rituals inserted into Christian beliefs corrupted Christianity and Judaism. Peace and love.

The bigger tragedy is that there are so many people who actually WANT this to happen. They want a global showdown that is going to result in the deaths of billions of people. They believe that their god is going to come down from heaven and end the world in a great show. This is a huge detriment to creating a sustainable society that can let us elevate the society into a space faring society that can outlive it's own solar system. Farstiker 4 have you ever read any of the Qur'an? If you have, please show me the verses of tolerance from Muslims to Jews, or Christians or any other religion. To find any verses that are tolerant you have to go back to the early hadiths. These are overruled by the later, more hateful hadiths. I have read some of the Qur'an and I cannot find any harmonious verses, but a lot of "Kill them if they don't believe in Allah and Muhummad" or you can pay tax and become a second class citizen.

In terms of passages Chapter 5, Verse 32 is one that I came up with. However, the greater evidence for my point lies with the actions of Islamic civilizations.
