Yes, this has a meaning of its own....this is not technically a 'remix' of the Sonata so to say. It is rather a trance variations on a theme from the original sonata. But very good...because most remixes stick very closely to the original piece, which is fine...but sometimes it is good to get away from that.
Mad wicked remix. I love it, although, I too, have trouble hearing the actual Moonlight melody. No matter, though; it still sounds magnificent. It's a very appropriate title for the piece, though.
Now I think of it. what makes this a hard piece to remix into techno/trance is also the speed of the song. If you take more or less the original speed, your beat (basic type of beat) will eather be super fast or too slow. So it would need quite some adoption there too. (not sure what would be better - slow down or speed up the song to make it fit a common BPM)
On the other hand, I must agree with another comment that the melody and song structure (which sound like a certain amount of chords of the song being repeated) sounds very diferent from the original (, from which I'm not sure if it's an improvement melody wise.
However, I'm also not sure if it's possible to keep those things the same and make a good techo/trance , 'fitting', remix of this song as I
mentioned before with too much unchanged . Maybe you experienced this when creating this one?
I'm totally in love with the original song, but I always love techno/trance versions of those classical pieces I like too, cause apart from the haunting tension the original has, a powerfull beat and arrangement can really add something. I like the fact that you didn't use same the appregio (3 tones of chord being placed after eachother) , becuase in other remixes this makes the beat (which is not in a more or less 3/4 pattern) really unfitting. So good job done there.

i can hear the chord changes of moonlight sonata, but i cant hear the original melody at all. sorry. but its still a good remix. :) i too enjoy getting classical music and messing around on a keyboard synthesizer and remixing them.
