  • Extremely HELPFUL!! Thanks for sharing. =D

  • Hey Destiny, A question; I use black opal liquid foundation. But always after 3 to 4 hours or more, my face gets really greasy and when i try to retouch it with a blot powder the foundation comes off at some spots and makes my face looks really bad :S

and I just feel like removing all the make-up :(. cuz its looks soo bad.

what do u think is the problem?should I change foundation perhaps or is it because my face is extremely oily? I also always use MAC Prep and Prime SPF 50 primer before...

    Xxx

  • Your video sound effects cracked me up - LOL. Question: my neck and body are lighter than my face (don't ask me why :O) - do I still match the foundation to my neck still and use the lighter shade on my (darker) face?

  • Lmbo at the sound effects hahahahaha

  • HILARIOUS!! Good video!

  • Great info about the sun and samples!

  • thanks for this and you're really pretty :)

  • That helps a lot! Thanks! BTW, you're so funny and cute :D

  • What foundation photos well ? I use bare minerals now and it tends to wash me out in photos

  • i want to buy foundation but i wear hijab so i cant use my neck to check the colour. can i use the same spot for the concealer (inner hand) to check?

  • i have d same prob as last week comment,my skin is lighter than yours with my chest clearer than my face i have blemishes acne scars like holes, and with all the concealer it doesn't help, pls need ur advice

  • ...During track season last year I was getting tan...but now the foundation I use is too dark so it's like I'm wearing a mask. >_< Thank you for the tips. Choosing a color is hard for me...I tend to think I'm darker than I really I am.

  • My neck is hella white..my face not so Much, and to top it off I have acne scars like holes :/ advice?? Please and thanks!

  • My neck is darker than the rest of my body, I have this weird discoloration there that makes me wear full coverage makeup. Where else can I test the color for foundation?

  • @Chaudalyn Try your lower jaw mama

  • this was very informative thanks! i think i will purchase the Makeup Forever HD foundation when i run out of my current one.. i've heard so much good things!

  • @SkinnyBunni NO mama u should like it!

  • I think you should match your foundation to the shade of your chest area especially if it's on show so your chest, neck and face are all one uniformed colour. That's just my personnel preference but I will say you can go a shade darker on your face or lighter to make yourself appear as if the skin tone is more even than it actually is.

  • @rebeccajanelove :) sooo many ways in sooo many different situations... it can be hard... I willl be updating this with more options! Thanks for your input! :)

  • my face n neck is darker than the rest of my skin... what do i do?

  • How would it work if my neck is darker than the skin on my face?.. I know it sounds weird! But I'm Hispanic and when you are over weight like me the color of your neck tends to be darker than your face!.. It's so hard trying to find a good shade-_-

  • @Guardislife2010 If your neck is too dark, I've heard and read that testing on the jawbone is a good spot as well. HTH

  • @asharonio TY<3

  • NARS! IS BETTER THAN MAC'S MUDDY/ORANGE FOUNDATIONS!

  • NARS! IS BETTER THAN MAC'S MUDDY/ORANGE FOUNDATIONS!

  • again disagree with you on the pink and yellow foundation thing, thats completly wrong. Some people are yellow toned which is light but with alot of splotches of pink. Ive seen many clients who are light/yellow but certain foundations made them look like "jaundice/yellow" they complained. The right combo of pink and yellow made them soo bright and radiant. Its all on personal preference, thats all.Our skin is very diverse.

Some ignorant folks here cant understand that

  • @irebby80 You took 40 minutes trying to google what my terms meant! aaahhahaha. I said you had Delusions of Grandeur because you have bogus erroneous belief that is held in the face of evidence to the contrary. No amount of meditation can help you! I suggest you start with that poor grammar.

  • @irebby80 Hilarious how it took you a long time to respond, I even got a nap in! If someone says they "took Psychology" that means they took more than one dinky class. You dont know what I majrored in..so shut your funky orifice. Human mind is fascinating you say? awww, Wikipedia taught you well! It took you that long to go research Wikipedia. You just wasted $ with college, they acept any trash nowadays..look at you! you cant even spell! I sugest you dont take 40 minutes to find a comeback

  • @irebby80 Meditation and exercise didn't help your poor grammar. Now meditate yourself into a coma. Youre not a Psychiatrist! I have taken Psychology and we studied the likes of you. Delusions of granduer I tell ya! take whatever pieces of dignity you have left and leave this video before you get reported for buffoonery.

  • @irebby80 Thats cute but she doesnt pay your bills nor does she pay your expenses! I wasnt talking to you! she can reply back. Also, dont you dare get it twisted! I wasnt angry. You dont know me to know if Im angry or not. Typing isnt the same as seeing someone's facial expressions! ignorant folks dont have the power to anger me! dont waste my time, youre a flea to me right now! a parasite..you are nothing! why are you even responding? if she wanted to respond she could! ur not wanted. MA'M!

  • @irebby80 The reaction was 100% justified! I have no patience for ignorance! and Physicians formula is NOT a "white rband" youre being even more ignorant than the original poster! and there aere only 3 races..black,white,asian! I know exactly what the commentator said..thats why I clcoked them! you cant say "white people makeup" any better! thats just straight buffoonery!

  • I need to know what is my skin tone first lol :D

  • wow your skin looks SO smooth!

  • i am a makeup forever hd 178, its perfect when i first put it on but then gets darker as the day goes please help.

  • Its annoying, white ppl make up is too light for me, and their products look weird on me. But blk ppl make up is too dark. I have yellow undertones. I have found foundations by covergirl (natureluxe 365) and (clean 165 tawny), and a la colors that match my skin really great. I also found a concealer(maybelline 30 cafe) for darker skin complexions!

  • @YurrahAlHadi Wow, yorue very ignorant. There is no such thing as "white people makeup". Whites dont own light skin. There are non whites who use very light foundations because they are already light to begin with. Ive seen biracials and light skin blacks for example wear light foundations! Just like dark foundations arent for "Black people". There are Indians/etc who may use darker foundations. Theyre for darker skintones in general! if you dont like it. find what you like than.

  • @markee871 Wow, you're very judgmental and rude. By white makeup, I meant any1 that has fair skin, the same thing with black makeup, but for darker skin. I am very aware that there's a variety of skin colors in each racial group. However, some make-ups are designed for specific racial groups and complexions. Most foundations I find in stores are for fair and darker skinned ppl, I fall in the middle. I also had a few brands in mind when I wrote that comment such as Imani's cosmetics.

  • @YurrahAlHadi And you are IGNORANT! there is NO such thing as "white people makeup", whites dont own light skin! Ive seen fair skinned mixed people and African Americans for example. I have also seen dark skinned Indians. So you saying "white makeup/black makeup" is ignorant and tacky. Each inidvidual is different and wants something different. If you like Imani's line..than buy it! but dont sit and talk shit about light foundation being ONLY for whites, I dont delve into it with dumb folks.

  • @markee871 there are make up brands that don't go into the darker skin tone ranges. Meaning white the skin tone, not white the race. Ignorant

  • @jaxband2011 Take your tacky dumbass out of here. You make no sense. Youre most likely a sock puppet account for the other ignorant ass simpleton! I love how I used the term ignoorant and you reverse it! What you said makes no sense! so why do you bother! take whatever pieces of dignity that lay scattered and exit this video before I lay into you for real. Im the one who told that inbred that there is no such thing as white people foundation! whites dont own light skin! doy!

  • @jaxband2011 Shut the fuck up with your fake ass account! Whites dont own light skin! There are people wodlwide lighter than, near as light,or as light as them! I do profesional makeup, unliek your low budget ass! you know nothing of foundations. SO I suggest you close that funky orifice of yours! Im good at spotting out writing patterns. Im sure that your acount is FAKE! I dont "try" to look anything, Im not you! youre not even on my level. Go amuse yourself elsewhere you low budget bitch!

  • @jaxband2011 You wish you had the power to anger me! Simpletons dont anger me! youre worth absolutely nothing. I was under the impression that "have a good day" means you wont be responding. But with stupid folks, they always have to get their dumb comments in! youre like a roach that keeps getting stepped on! why the hel do you keep writing "AHA", does that mean something in your Native language of "DUMBASS"? I dont deal with stupid folks like you! you need to stop HUFFIN/PUFFIN that weed

  • @markee871- You tell her/him lol.

  • @YurrahAlHadi try the revlon colorstay foundations... they have a very wide range of colors. I have a caramel skin tone which has always been hard for me to match with drug store foundations, and revlon has foundations with yellow undertones which is perfect for me. Also I find it funny that you match the original covergirl foundation lines. I always find them too pink, since the tradition covergirl market is designed for white people. the queen collection is pretty good though.

  • @sweetcandyzin I could care less for what you think. When I go into people for making ignorant comments, I go hard. The comment she made about "white people makeup" IS IGNORANT! you can try to argue it until youre blue in the face! its still ignorant! there is no such thing as black people makeuup or white people makeup! I dont know why yorue bringing up your story. I could care less. Not everyone is like you or relates to you.I dont see your comment as necessary

  • @sweetcandyzin again disagree with you on the pink and yellow foundation thing, thats completly wrong. African American women ESPECIALLY

  • @sweetcandyzin Just because youre black, and you dislike how it looks on you..that doesnt mean that other black women agree with you! and it doesnt mean that line is for white people! Asians are very fair even fairer than whites..but they use Covergirl! there are many people who are not from the white race but can wear their shades..so stop this "white people foundation" its ignorant as hell! and only shows how dumb you are! is MAC FOR BLACKS OR WHITES? ignorant ppl are messy

  • @sweetcandyzin Saying "White people foundation" only means one thing. I wont delve into it with ignorant folks. Plus many do take offense to "Women of color" because whites can also be colored too..seeing as people worldwide can be light as,near as light,or lighter than them! Italians are white but there are people whiter than them. Many light skinned black/mixed folks even take offense to that term, read its history! thats neither here nor there, u have some stupid friends to call things by race

  • @sweetcandyzin You are clearly ignorant! and people do take offense to both terms

  • @markee871 Exactly! youre 100% right! keep schooling these dumb trolls!

  • @markee871 have a nice day

  • great tips!!! i have wasted so much money buying the wrong color =(

now i know to swatch the foundation on my neck. thanks!

  • Your editing had me lolin', thanks for the tip because everytime I try to look for one that fits, I find myself looking at colors that seem to be on the right street, right end of the street, but the wrong side of Foundation Street!!

  • my problem is my neck is darker than my face ,how can i chose my foundation?????? plzzzzzzz help me :(((((

  • Thank you good tips.

  • What about redbones

  • what do you do if your neck is darker than your face?

  • @SoFlyCee Your chest generally !

  • @SoFlyCee yes what to do?my neck is darker than my face..

  • @SoFlyCee if your neck is darker than your face, then test the foundation of the jawline.

  • I hate you!

    why so pretty skin???

  • thanx this video was very helpful...ive tried mac, drug stores brands and makeup forever matte plus which i like alot but it tends to get orange on me. Maybe it's because im using the wrong shade. I normally wear shade 35 and wasn't sure of if i should try shade 30. I am a pale hispanic and I have yellow undertones . Also I love full coverage foundations

  • You are the first person I have come across that addresses having two tones in the face...THANK YOU! And the concelor tip was great. Definitely subbing. Thanks MakeupD0ll for sending me!

  • On a completely unrelated note: you win classiest septum piercing ever haha

  • My foundation made me look red too o-o

  • Thanx so MUCH for ur advise,,, I'm gonna try this I hope it works because I always grab the wrong foundation and like u said inside doors it looks like u have the perfect makeup but when u go outside it turns that u look like a clown I don't want to look like that .

  • Wow, your skin looks flawless

  • Hey destiny, I have really oilly skin. what is the best foundation to use?

  • doesn't it look a bit weird to like take foundation in containers in the store, it looks like stealing ..x]

  • thank you so much, one thing I am kind of confused about is the red and yellow you are talking about? sorry... I didn't understand

  • What should I do? I tend to tan ALOT in the summer time, and in the winter, I'm pale! I don't want to spend too much money on foundation! What should I do?

  • EXCELLENT tutorial:) Love it!

  • I ALSO USE MAC FOUNDATION N IT WORKS GREAT FOR ME..BUT YOUR FOUNDATION A

LOOKS AMAZING...WHAT COLOR ARE U USING FOR UR LIPS?

  • Thanks for this update I have tried the Mac studio fix and it made me look red too!!! Omg I thought I was the only one and then I tried to take it back and they told me it was the right one for me *blank stare* umm no I will go to lancome to try there products

  • big help thanks :)

  • Thank you, I've learnt so much from this. You are one of my favourite make up gurus on Youtube! :)

  • I can't relate to what you say specifically to darker skin women (I'm chinese with very fair skin) but I love watching you speak and listening to your opinions and advice. What you say makes a lot of sense! I usually wear the second or third lightest colors and always considered myself to have cool undertones until I noticed that I can use both yellow and pink based shades in my color...looks like I've got a mix of both undertones!

  • Thank u for this video cuz I have A LOT of "wrong" foundation colors in my make up bag

  • shes HOTT

  • Hi! thanks for the info.! i was just wondering which is better..Liquid Foundation or Powder Foundation.? I've heard that powder foundation makes your skin look "cakey" and since i'm a newbie with makeup i want something that'll make my face look clean and natural. any suggestions?(:

  • thanks for the tutorial really helpful...u r so beautiful...could i request you lose the nose ring...u have so much beauty the rest is just distracting...sorry i just think the nose ring is turn off in the video

  • Hey destiny, u sed nw 47 made ur skin look redd i use nc 45 in mac nd i have yellow indian skin. Dont give up on mac foundationn guys! Most of the time the mua there gives the wrong color. Smh. If u have asian yellow skin maybellines honey beige, caramel nd golden r GREATT!

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH for this video.. VERY HELPFUL and funny!! you're skin looks gorgeous!

  • you should not apply it on your neck cause usually your neck is alot darker than your face..

  • I'm biracial and have VERY yellow skin! Could you recommend any foundation for me? I've yet to find anything that matches... :(

  • @HajisSaya I heard Bobbi Brown is good for yellow skin

  • @HajisSaya MAC NC44 is really yellow. Try that out :)

  • @HajisSaya Have you tried Shisheido, Nars or Chanel? I know that's on the high end of make up but they do very good yellow undertone formulas. I'm asian so I feel your pain... a lot of drugstores go more with the beige/pink undertones and it makes me look awful. Or try Revlon, a few of their formulas have some yellow based foundations. Hope that helps xx

  • @HajisSaya U can buy foundations by MAC :NC type. Or any foundation by trying it on your skin before u buy it!

  • @HajisSaya nars has some very yellow toned foundations :)

  • @HajisSaya Makeup Forever has a WIDE range of colours. Why not go to your nearest Sephora and ask for samples that are close to your skin tone? Try them for a few days and decide which works best for you.

  • @HajisSaya Also MAC's foundations have a VERY yellow undertone ...so check those out too :-)

  • @HajisSaya

Jemma Kidd's make up school. light as air foundation, they tend to have a yellow undertone, rather than a pink one !

  • @HajisSaya Try Soft Beige foundation at your local beauty shop/drugstore

  • @HajisSaya I'm no beauty expert. Just trying to help.

  • hi, im an asian (filipino) i think i have combination undertones coz i have green and blue veins, anyway.. i always buy warm foundations but it always ends up looking so yellow or more of orange even if its a light shade. i buy MAC. Wuts the best foundation for Asian people? brand? color? specially in my case?

  • @ColorAddictGirl What yelloyt foundation do you use?

  • @ColorAddictGirl What yellowy foundation do you use?

  • Pls give us your facial regimen!! :D Thanx xxxxxxxxxx

  • I feel like it's super hard to find the right color foundation sometimes, especially for use girls with SUPER light or dark skin.Gosh makeup brands MAKE MORE COLORS!. lol Anyway I subbed, loved the video. :D

  • you are gorgeous!!

  • Great info. Question: do you have a favorite drug store foundation?

  • this was so helpful, concise, and you're so friendly...have a great day, thanks! Just sub'ed glad I found the video! :)

  • just one thing: thanks.

    this was really helpful :)

  • You are so pretty you have a very unique look thats very pretty! I just subbed!

  • Hi great video, so what did you say the name of the last foundation sample you have is? Tanya Dole? How do you spell it? Thanks!

  • I need this makeup look in my life!! Can you please do a tutorial? I beg! Also, can you please let the names and products that you used? Thanks :)

  • Your beauty is very close to Viola Davis. I think she is stunning so I don't give that compliment to everyone. But I have to hand it to you. You're a doll. And your personality matches your outside!

  • Extremely helpful. Thanx! Xoxo

  • thx so much this was so helpful! I'm really pale but i could never seem to get the right shade, even when i went to sephora and a girl that worked there did a test. maybe it was becuz she tested it on my cheeks... anyway! thx ^_^

  • I had a similar experience with MUFE that you had with MAC. I thought I looked so cute, but I went to the bathroom in my residence hall and it looked like I had red war paint on. I was so blown especially since I paid so much for it.

  • great video!!

  • you cant try on the foundation in drugstores and i dont think u can return them after opening it

  • @pinkysux you can at walmart rite aid target and cvs.. in this case go to a high end retailer get a tester bring it to the drugstore and match it based on your tester :) xoxo...

  • @pinkysux you can still return it after you open it at drugstores

  • what if your neck is darker then you face?

  • @DariusIsBomb You will have to do a happy medium... like I was saying kind of a combo of neck and face.

  • @destinygodley how do you clear your skin? to make it more even?

  • GREAT GREAT VIDEO, INFORMATIVE AS USUAL. You should be a presenter or something on TV, you know when to smile and you do not ramble, please keep it up...thank you so much...

  • "OH MY GOODNESS" that part had me cracking up!! On a serious note i would like to thank you for ur make up tutorials. i am turning 25 this yr and still dont kno how to apply make up. I found ur videos today and i kno the beginners tutorials will help a lot. Thank you so much!

  • ur really good!(:

  • @BeautyMia245 Thanks hon!! xoxo

  • everyone says that to get your foundation to be a perfect match test it on your neck. but i cant do that because my neck is SOOOOOOOOOO many shades lighter than my face so id walk around looking pasty :/

  • @MissBriiSocialite :( in this case I would use your jaw... but maybe brighten it a bit to compensate

  • @MissBriiSocialite I see where you are coming from,Many people like that "pasty"/bright/pale/pinup look like dita von teese or others, some like darker bronzey looks... its all Personal preference :)

hope u find what youre looking for :D

  • Need your help....i do my foundation routine using the black opal stick foundation or sometimes the the Iman stick foundation. My foundation seem to look wrong and my pores seem large under the foundation. I'm in Guyana soi'm kinda limited with obtaining testers. Both foundations were bought outside of Guyana. Im currently using the Iman primer. any advice to help eliminate my "grainy" look?

  • @AbiolaSful You def have to exfoliate.. your pores may be clogged or expanded due to oil retention. I would exfoliate 3 times a week and use a matte lotion or primer to alleviate the look of large pores.. after time pore will become more refined... this also happens when/if your skin is "thick"... exfoliation is a great thing!

  • @AbiolaSful Thanks hon.

  • I just need you to go shopping with me! Your face always looks flawless & I love that you explain everything so well. I really appreciate you!

    Shalom & Blessings!

  • Thanks for the advice.

  • Very beautiful ;)

  • thank you for your help!

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you for suggesting the Lancome's Teint Idole. I watched this video 2/26 and 2/27 I was at the Lancome counter. I have applied this foundation every day since. Simply flawless!! Yes, I know it's only been 3 days but I NEVER apply makeup 3 days in a row. Teint Idole Ultra Suede 0 is my new love!

  • @cherrymb LOL... you're welcome welcome welcome.. the foundation is the biz!! and I wouldn't DARE keep it to myself! I use it everyday too!! haha!!
