Lightning is fucking awesome. That big one at :58 was not 100 feet away, it was about 400 yards away. The camera makes it look closer. If it were 100 feet away, you would have been blown back. It's happened to me twice. lol

The first strike was probably about a half mile away seeing it took about 2 seconds to get the thunder after the strike. Nice lightning ghost on that one. The second one was closer, probably a couple of blocks way.

That's weird how long the strike lasted. I wonder if you recorded the streamer too. You could see it for almost 2 seconds before you actually heard the thunder. You see a purplish streamer at about 00:57, and then a much brighter hot strike at about 00:59, then you hear the thunder. That was pretty cool! Nice job recording it.
