All of their many great recordings were absolutely fantastic!
I heard an interview 20 years ago with the last surviving member that The Vagabonds had over a thousand songs in their reperrtoir, and they rehearsed 10 hours a day.
The Delta Rhythm Boys, Mills Brothers, Golden Gate Quartet, and The Norfolk Jubilees all have great company!!!

Hi, John Jordan the lead singer is my grandfather....that's where his grandaughter Jadiebird got her vocals (*-*). @MittaGrant I'mTracy, Jadiebird's mother.
My Dad was (Ray Grant) the Bass and Guitarest for the 4 Vagabonds. I would like to share some of the pictures and other information with you. You can contact me on raygrant.home@att.net.
The Four Vagabonds was the first 40s group that got me interested in that sound & I still love them. They were the best at making the instrument sounds. I also heard from the Son of Ray Grant recently. Thank for your nice comment.
There are no surviving original members. There is one later member of The Four Vagabons who is still living who now lives in Indiana. I was in touch with him up till a few years ago. He was last playing gjuitar for Pookie Hudson and The Spaniels, but his name slips my mind.
very true, i discovered these guys on the chicago radio show 'blues before sunrise' with dj steve cushing. never heard any group do the instruments with their voices before...really amazing....and the harmonies...forget it...the best!
I heard that same interview many years ago, when the broadcast was simulcast in New York. He had interviewed the last surviving member of the group, and if I'm correct, he said that the group had several thousands of tunes in their repotoire. Do you remember that comment, or was it simply a thousand songs?

Wow! I would have loved to meet your dad.
Did your dad stay involved in singing or producing after The Vagabonds broke up?
He's given me so many chills and thrills for so many years, I feel he was MY dad.
Do you know if there were any film clips of The Four Vagabonds besides the one with Dean Martin?

OMG! OMG! I LOVE this song! My brother, Jimmy, hipped me to this song about 20 years ago. BRAVO! They don't make 'em like this anymore.
