  • In my town, the southern baptists act like they own the city.

  • In this world, we need christian bands with different styles of music because everyone likes something different. Personally, I must have various forms of rock, such as crunk rock (Family Force 5), alternative rock (anberlin and House of Heroes), hard rock (red), and of course Showbread's raw rock.

  • Any form of music with a drum beat and distorted guitars is from the devil. Heavy Metal music stimulates our fleshly desire to rebel against god.

  • @CrazyCaucasian1337 dude look at Jesus, long hair, he is a rocker. God wants us to shout and scream his name. this is worship. wait drums? your kidding me, that is any and every kind of music, if anything drums is God instrument cause that keeps the beat, the tempo, and the song from falling apart.

  • @CrazyCaucasian1337 I'm sorry but I disagree there. It's just a different type of music, it's like saying "Oh you can have semi-skimmed milk but whole milk is the devils work". Different people like different flavours. Now I listen to alot of heavy metal and I've never felt I should rebel against God. If anything, the opposite, it makes me want to stand up for God, it gives me hope. Read the lyrics to "The World is a Thorn", do they make you want to rebel against God?

  • @CrazyCaucasian1337 In the Old Testament people are dancing and shouting to God because they were set free from Egypt. Not only were they using loud voices, they were using tambourines, which is a form of percussion. If you want to tell us not to use even bigger forms of percussion for being set free from the bondage of sin, then I don't know what to say!

  • @CrazyCaucasian1337 and this is comming from a person who probably has never listened (and by listened i mean actually listen and look into the lyrics and emotin) to rock or metal that is christian or God focused.... the world has perverted our veiws of right and wrong, not only are drums in the bible, but the bible says go unto all nations teaching and preaching the word (paraphrased) music is the single most powerful tool God has given to us to reach people, and we should reach with all types

  • @CrazyCaucasian1337

that is not true i play in a christian core band and we all love god just cause its not what you like dosnt mean we are playing devil music o.o some people use it as there form of worship like the great comission who says heavy freaking worship so believe what you want but you are wrong man o.o

  • @CrazyCaucasian1337 Now where in the Bible does it say that? as long as the lyrics are true and full of praise to God, it shouldnt matter if they are heavy or not. I'm in a metalcore band and i love christ with all my heart so dont you say im doing the work of the devil

  • @EagleSoarsfps Well meanwhile I don't really listen to this kind of music I see nothing wrong with it, but I do happen to listen to metalcore and some death metal. What I feel inside when listening to a band like that is indeed peace, I can actually fall asleep listening to it, and the music have encouraged me to stand up and fight for my faith and get up when I have fallen back. So music which helps me get stronger in my faith and encourages me to stand up for Jesus will never be from satan

  • @EagleSoarsfps And to clear things up, this is not "a way of the world". This is just culture and musical taste. God sent us out to the world to make disciples and love one another, through all ways of worship. And without His guidance they would not be able to do this. The ways of the world is things like lust, stealing, greed, idol worshipping and a lot of other things, music is just culture and isn't evil or good, that depends on the lyrics and what the band is promoting and singing about

  • @EagleSoarsfps And you really need to stop judging people, your are blaming your brothers in Christ to be weapons of satan, which clearly is not okey. I'm not even gonna answer to your "People on drugs" comment, its just you judging a whole music style because of certain popular atheist bands do drugs. But I do understand now that you are probably against all kind of music except for the music thats played in church. Do you consider hip hop to be "a evil way of the world" as well?

  • @EagleSoarsfps But how do you get this music to "a way of the world"? Is it the genre which makes it evil? Then what music is okey with God? Ask yourself this, why would God think this music is evil, if it is praising Him and leading people which happen to like this kind of music to Him? Its kinda funny to believe that Satan is using them as a tool when they are singing for Christ.

  • @EagleSoarsfp I'm sorry dude, but you are wrong. Tool of the demons.. ehm.. Why would the demons use a band singing about Jesus as a tool? Then they are in war with themself or just really stupid. Why is it not from the heart? Thats exactly what it IS! What what do you mean with selfish desire? What kind of desire? Is making music a selfish evil desire? And why does it implie chaos, rage and pride? I'm really intrested to see where you can find scripture backing up what you just said.

  • Gy-rations.

  • Showbread is phenomenal. :) I love Jesus and I love Showbread.

  • David (a man after God's own heart) chose to praise God by dancing in the streets naked, and then followed that by saying that he could get even MORE undignified than that in order to praise God. who are we to dictate how God is pleased? I bet if someone did that today people would act like they were even worse than showbread. No one decides what God likes except for God. Who are you to assume you know?

  • it is fucking called ART.

  • very well done, i wish there was more

  • Music is personal. Everyone has their own style. Personally, I'm not a fan of screamo. But I know some people that have become followers of Christ because my church played a screamo song and they kept coming and eventually got saved. This arguing breaks my heart and angers me at the same time. If you follow Christ you are called to go and make disciples...not argue about music. As Christians, Jesus can redeem anything as a method to spread the Gospel. We just slow it down when we argue

  • Music is music and if you don't like it you don't have to listen to it.

  • I played in a so called "christian band" and later came to the realization that music as it exists for the church (meaning group of christians and all in the faith) should only be for praising God as affiliated with the church. To not do so and blur the lines can, and will, only lead people astray. Even if one brings someone to God via this music, that person is left with the expectation of this music and its vibe and not their faith and the overall sacrifice of christianity overall.

  • @Npixelvd have you ever even heard of bands like Impending Doom ? They make the style of music that they do to reach out to kids everywhere who might not be Christian yet, but will hopefully become interested in Christianity after they listen to the music and can hopefully come to know God. Are you going to say they are wrong for this ?

  • @Npixelvd You are 100% completely incorrect. This style of music is not "self indulgent" or wrong in any way at all. How are they not making a sacrifice while playing this ? Why do they have to be tied down to the way everyone else does their worship. Bands like this truly have the best view of worship. A passionate and on fire experience for the God that they love. You are narrow minded and think it matters, when it doesn't.

  • @16lovestruck23 Umm...? That's not true anywhere in the Bible. You can literally only worship God in the manner He prescribes. Don't believe me? Read 1 Samuel and notice Eli's sons doing things their "own way" eating meat meant for the sacrifice, etc. I'm not slamming this style of music (I obviously like it or I wouldn't be on this vid) but I am saying that we can only approach God in the way He intended. We enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.

  • They always say that "Lyrics is what makes the music Christian and not the style" is basically wrong. There is a limitation on how we sing a worship song. Just observe what happens inside you when you hear this style of music, it is really a selfish madness and rebellion. Being a Christian is really a living sacrifice, it willingly gives up the desire of the flesh. A genuine worship to the Lord involves everybody, from young ones to the old ones, to the ladies and the gentlemen.

  • @Npixelvd Dude, you must be living under a rock... Being Christian is being a Rebel. Christianity in it's beginning was rebelling from the Roman Empire and Polytheism.

  • @MrBlotterman420 I get what you're saying, but you're technically incorrect. I suppose it also depends on when you consider Christianity to be "in it's beginning." If we're talking about Adam and Eve, then clearly it was not a rebellion from anything as it was the ONLY thing. If you're talking about Christ and His life, and the Roman Empire, then Christianity was a departure from law-bound rituals and man-made doctrines. But remember, even the Pharisees believed in one God the Father.

  • @MrBlotterman420 Christianity protest in a civil way and does not use violence, and they defend only the truth, and not the lies like these songs.

  • That youth pastor makes God look like the bad guy when in reality I'd bet that God rocks the fuck out to this stuff... if he created music why wouldn't he want us to take it and progress? I'm sure God isn't naive enough to think that all music must be written about him lyrically for it to be "good". The passion is in the music is enough.

Its pretty hilarious how josh started trying to look like Dennis from Refused once showbread took off though haha.

  • One more thing. Showbreads lyrics are audible, you just gotta listen. jeez

  • Almost every person believes that subliminal messaging is quite affective. Usually people will dig to deep into harmless things and find negative subliminal messages. Yet nobody wants to hear the positive ones, like in alot of Showbreads songs. Makes me gotta chuckle really.

  • Thats my moms narrow minded point of view. Her worst arguement was that it sounds like satan. Seriously? NObody knows what satan sounds like, and even if you did, I doubt he would sound like that. She still lets me listen, she says its between me and God, but she doesnt wanna hear it. I just hope she realizes this is what keeps me away from the secular bands and alot of bad things, cause im still getting the message.

  • @TehPuddinz tell her that satan wears a suit and tie and probably goes to church, can quote the bible word for word, and has a "silver tounge", and can and has turned a lot of these weaked faithed christians against other christians...hes a wolf in sheeps clothing so dont trust any sheep

  • As a Christian I used to like Contemporary Christian music much like lighter Alternative style than these music. I did read from the book that the lyrics is important than the style of music in worship. As I go on with my life, I started to have internal war and guilt in me with these kind of music. Through God's guidance it was revealed that these kind of praise music is worldly, and a selfish expression of the singers. And the spirit behind it is pride, arrogance and it is not genuine love

  • @Npixelvd Romans 14 read it. Paul uses eating meat and not eating meat as one example he uses circumcision in another case...but these are just examples...now when you read put this style of music in the place of meat/no meat...you have no room to judge nor do we...we wont force you to listen to CCM thats your choice and you do that for God cool...we play and listen this style to praise God, you have no agency to pass judgement on our motives thats Gods job and his alone

  • Comment removed

  • @Npixelvd what you see or think you see is irrelevant its what God sees that matters its whats in our hearts that matter...and please address what i said and not regurgitate rhetoric at me...

  • drop the gimmics. stick to the praise.

  • Haha I remember this. I was like 12 when this was filmed. Also, you spelled our last name wrong. It should read "Marvin Reilly" not Reiley. Thank you and good night.

  • i love showbread and many other christian rock bands, but I think what a lot of churches and pastors try to express is, there is a level of respect one needs to have in the house of the lord. God loves us all the way we are, but we do need to remember, especially in a church, there is some conservatism. Sometimes this type of music and style is just like the worldly stuff we're against, and its so alike that non believers might take the message differently

  • im christian, and i play the drums in my youth church band lolol. its ignorant christians like that, that give christians a bad name...

  • anyone know what the song is at 0.16?

  • Uhm... The church has problems with... Drums? Oh yeah man, they're completely evil.

  • i went to a church like that......its the reason i am not a christian anymore

  • They use drums in the bible...

  • @5evilyoutubification there's actually no metion of them in the bible, that's why its its so refuted among to denominations

  • @cwatasut The Bible mentions something along the lines of "Make music, bash cymbals for the Lord." That's probably not word for word, but I know the Bible mentions cymbals, if not neccassarily drums. But that seems such a nit-picky, irrelevant thing to worry about when there is so much more we could put our passion towards. There are people who are starving and don't have homes, yet so many churches are more concerned about some kids playing drums to worship their Lord. I just don't get it.

  • I dont like how he said "their style of music, i dont think it would hold up to Gods standards." stuff like that makes people turn from God, and not want to get to know Him.

  • @slocorini Seriously! The youth pastor sounds like my mom when I was younger. "That's not good music, not even Christian!" (me sitting there listening to As I Lay Dying) "Oh really? How do you know that? Guess what? THEY ARE! It is their way of worship. Just because YOU can't understand them doesn''t mean it is wrong..." (mom walks off after losing arguement) Really people, don't judge someone for the way they worship. It's up to them how they do it, and it's still praise.

  • I'm Baptist and I totally dig these guys. I am shocked at the youth pastors apparent lack of understanding and/or feeling. Not all people want to listen Amy Grant....Sorry. She might have really great songs, but some people do not connect with it. This 38 year old says- Rock On SHOWBREAD!!!!

  • lol, their youth pastor is so narrow minded. People are drawn to certain music, and they're going to play/listen to what they're drawn to. I'm a christian, and i'm drawn to face-melting rock. This is honestly the first christian band i've listened to in a looonnng time because there's such a lacking in this genre. Basically: people are going to listen to what they like. Might as well give people that like this music a christian option.

  • I'd like an explanation as to why drums are a problem. They're an integral part of pretty much any form of music, even praise. Like a few others who've posted comments on here, I doubt God thinks drums are sinful for one major reason: God's wishes are not arbitrary (meaning there's an actual point to them), and drums being sinful is extremely so.

  • oh yeah. sounds alot like my church. "the drums are too loud. Goddoesnt like loud drums!" I know in my heART im doing what pleases God so whats wrong about what i play. I totally agree with these guys. Its your heart that matters not wht people see on the outside. can i get an AMEN?!

  • can somone tell what song they playing at 1:40

  • @terribletimmy i am a machine gun

  • I love Wayne Nabors. The other guy needs to lighten up a little. I don't think God really cares as long as you're being a Jesus Freak.......

  • I love the pastor! He's awesome!

  • Haha this shows how SOME religious people can be kinda ignorant. Lyrics not audible? God can't understand screamo? God can understand tongues, the tongues of angels, who says they don't scream? Anyways, this is a great vid. Also a great band.

  • "i don't know if their style of music would hold up to God's standerds." last time i checked God's standards aren't very high, right up there with well... you and me both. if you would like to make it to heaven based on Gods standerds good luck. i hope you've never sinned in your life!

  • @freeofkings now this guy knows what he's talking about =]

  • If God could be seen, He'd be in a mosh pit!

Don't they believe that God made people in HIS image?

Think of how many people that are CHRISTIANS or whatever, go to shows, and get in Moshpits, and bring Carnage, and are STILL christians after the show.

    THAAAATS Right!

    UHN SON!

  • XD 1:45 is funny. I can understand it and hear it. Not like its jibberish. Dang josh and everyone loose young. Tae should not have dreads ever again. haha

  • I love the idea of this kind of music and find nothing wrong with it. I do, on the other hand think they could go without the blood spitting. ha.

  • Silly legalists! :-p

  • Why would this be an offense to Southern Baptist? It only seemed like the youth pastor had a problem. I am a youth pastor and I am a SB. I even have taken my kids to see living sacrifice, demon hunter, War of Ages, Oh Sleeper, and more. I would say most SBC wouldn't have a problem with the music . That doesn't mean they will like it. I do have a problem sometimes with a christian band booking a show with the secular because they usually cuss and I still have a job helping young christian minds.

  • @livingXsacrifice I somewhat hold the same beliefs in this way. I don't think secular bands should play with Christian bands if the Christian band is headlining. The headlining band is the face of the show. If a secular band headlines, then it's perfectly fine in my opinion.

  • @livingXsacrifice there is nothing wrong with touring with secular bands. there music shouldnt be limited to being christians entertianment. it should be a ministry tool to the secular world. and most bands do a good job of staying on track amoungst it. i talked to tobi from flatfoot 56 and he told me when they tour with non christian groups they play worship music the whole time to stay in tune with god. if christian bands were only on christian tours then the ministry would be realy limited.

  • @jandhvideos

    Remember I said "sometimes"

As a youth pastor, it is my responsibility to have my kids to go into a clean Christian enviroment. Young people today already hear enough of cussing and other explicits at school, other music, and movies. I am sure the bands are being a good witness. If that is the case should we bring the other non christian bands play in church? Of course not. Witnessing can be done off the stage as well. God Bless

    livingXsacrifice 1 month ago

  • @livingXsacrifice

Forgot. One good example. I took some kids to see Living Sacrifice, Demon Hunter, The Famine, Oh, Sleeper and The Avent. All Christian bands playing at a secular place (house of blues). Lots of non saved people heard the message. Their witness was just as effective without the secular bands.

  • @livingXsacrifice oh i understand christian venues or chirches shouldnt book tours with christians and non christians/ i dont believe non christian bands should play in christian places either witha christian band or not.

  • @jandhvideos

They would not be limited. If God calls a Christian band to play. He would open the doors for them. God isn't dependent on man to push through to those whom he has called. They will play where God takes them.

  • @livingXsacrifice Yes sir, amen. my statement i guess wasnt the best. i most definently cant argue with you on this one. i agree 100%.

  • i do have to agree that getting tattoos is very unchristian but i realy like the stile of music. It's amassing!

as long as the lyrics are good and it's all for God and not for yourself it's cool.

  • @superomega13 and what biblicaly is wrong with tatoos? im not trying to argue i just think you need to have a reason for your oppinion.

  • @superomega13

I don't understand that statement of getting tattoos as being 'very unchristian'. Leviticus states not to get tattoos to the jewish people, but Christ himself said he freed us from the Levitican Laws. I guess you don't follow that rule anymore about not washing dishes on Sunday or eating bacon, either?

  • What is the song at 1:32?

  • really? my church has guitar drums and keyboard...and there all people in there middle ages >.>

  • @awesomepossum890 Because maybe your church is different that baptist because in the baptist there only guitar an keyboard

  • I think the Pastor and the Youth Pastor should trades spots, because it seems like the Pastor knows more about kids then their own youth pastor. lol. Plus, the Pastor supports their form of worship, because its THEIR way of worshiping.

  • @DS6FILMS Correct me if I'm wrong, but the words he chose, and the way he said it, I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic. And rightly so.

  • @DiJohnny18 I disagree.

  • I can see why older churchgoers would not understand the band's message etc, but after watching this video I am left with the impression that these are good decent young people and I would be glad to be associated with them.

  • ...the love of christ with them.

  • @LowcountryTigator not to come off rude but FF5 is one of the most faithful christian bands out there. They pray at most if not all their shows. And actually a lot of their songs do have to do with Christ. It may not be black and white flat out "praise the lord" but they use metaphors to represent God. And most christian bands do tour with non-christian bands. And they should. We should be excepting of everyone, but we should be weary of letting them change us. And hopefully we can share...

  • Showbread is one of the best Christian bands out there today. If people can't see that, its understandable, but they shouldn't force Showbread to change their ways.

  • 1:45

what? I'm a Christian, and I personally think this guy just runs people away from Christ.

if someone can't worship through post hardcore, or let alone any style of music, then I don't know how we can worship. lets all make a joyful NOISE.

  • Legalism will run people away from the Lord quicker than anything. That youth pastor has standards that HE sets and he believes EVERYONE must attain to HIS standards in order to be "right". That's pious and legalistic. God Bless, Showbread!

  • "their vocals are inaudible" i think that dood means he cant understand em...not that he cant hear them..also church ppl are so unaccepting of anything thats different...why cant the older generation think back and realize that the generations before them said the same stuff about their musik

  • It's amazing that christian stores have banned showbread. they are the most defining christian band out htere. because there is refrences to abortion in the anorexia/nervosa story, and almost rape, but they proclaim God's love louder than any other music i;ve ever heard.

I think its awesome how showbread really doesnt care anymore about the critisicm that they get. they know what there doing, their on a mission.

    showbread ftw

  • @zinnyzxx I totally agree with you. That's probably the main reason why I love Showbread. they are not afraid to show their faith to God. People just don't understand them, and Showbread doesn't care, haha. I mean, for crying out loud, Jesus was very controversial in his time, why can't we have controversial christians now? They are examples of what christians should be. Even if they have a dark message to show their faith.

  • Great video. Well made. It is great to see this aspect of the band's origin. I have experienced this problem a little bit, and I'm glad to see that Showbread dealt with it like adults.

Oh, and the youth minister makes me want to puke.

  • i hate christians. HATE christians. because of christians. burn it away and follow jesus solely, no man can save your soul.

  • Church members who "expell" members from the church dont need to be there in the first place.

i love to have topics about this kind of stuff because i am a christian and i can make people that judge other christians like this i can make them look stupid and ignorant

    christianity is not a religion

i am a huuge showbread fan

adn they are a huge inspiration

  • unfortunately some churches criticize us for what we are at the outside not the inside thats whats wrong with todays churches im a pastor's kid and it is hard to be one because people expect a lot from me but my father is not strict towards the music that i listen or the clothes that i wear because he knows that I have a good relationship with God.youth pastors must realize that God looks on the inside not the outside. God doesnt care if you have tattoos or piercing he cares for our faith to Him

  • Take a look at the video "Family Force Five Contemporary Gospel"... I believe this falls into the category of lighting useless fires on the altar of God. P.S. We have a trap set in the sanctuary at my church.

  • I tend to agree regarding FF5. They profess to be Christian, but I have never really heard them profess it on a consistent basis through their music. For one thing, they are getting ready to tour with Cobra Starship - definitely NOT a Christian band. Check out the lyrics by them. I'm disappointed with FF5 because they use the name "Christian" all the while ruining it for other rock Christian bands out there that DO profess Christ through their work. Don't lump them all together, alive.

  • wow look how Yong they are in this vid XD !

well all i have to say is i met them in person and even though i don't know them personally i can see by the way they talk and the way they act and by their music that they really love Jesus!!!

  • thank for posting this...

  • All your friends are fake

  • LOL gyrations. awesome.

oh man though, that word reminds me of Nervosa. what an unsettling scene.

  • I love Savannah, GA. I was one week away from going to Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD)

    RAW ROCK KILLS!

  • Well dang. Hellooo the lyrics ARE audible. Theyre easily understood if you try.

  • hahahahahahahahahhahahaha.....eric was my youth pastor. I DONE CALLED THE SHERIFF!!!!

  • theyre coming to my town. might go see them.

  • you gotta. theyre pwning

  • i know this is off subject but where can i buy there showbread ruined my life dvd lol

    (and is this from that?)

  • no this is not from that, and sometimes it is for sale on their myspace, otherwise the only place you can get it is at their shows.

  • you might be able to get it from josh's myspace.

  • showbread is uh.mayzing.

  • dude Showbread is srsly the most out-right with their faith than any other Christian band, even more than Demon Hunter and The Devil Wears Prada. i'd have to say Prada is a close second, but like i've never ever even heard a single cuss word in any of Showbread's vids. they rock hard and are rooted on the Rock,

  • Comment removed

  • seriously, people should try reading the Bible before they tell you what's right or wrong. Jesus hung out with ALL of the outcasts and people that everyone thought were terrible sinners and horrible people. i think if He came today he would hang out with all the hardcore kids and the metalheads. people like that really make me sick.

  • yeah that is true, but do you know Showbreads message? they are all really strong christian guys. so they really arent outcasts they are standing up for God in every way and helping the "lost" find him! people need to search deeper and find out what people are truely about before judging... thats not our place to judge. God will do that in the end...

  • i know...i was supporting Showbread. they're my favorite band.

  • oh i know you were! and thank you for it! they are my favorite too. I've loved them for a few years and now my brother is in showbread and it so cool! ive got to meet all the guys and a couple of months ago Josh stayed the night at my house and we stayed up til 7 in the morning hanging out. but yeah thanks for supporting them! they are really great guys!

  • and you know why they are hypocrites? THEY DO NOT LOVE. They reject the sinner, all the while they pour out judgement upon THEMSELVES because they do just the same thing- sin and sin and sin.

  • the church or showbread doesnt love?

  • haha the church. Not all churches, but the stereotype of what a church is nowadays lol.

  • is no sir there first album?

  • they had two albums before that. (which weren't actually very good) but they are very hard to find.

  • Silly footwashers... Just because something's not their tradition they think that God opposes it. Reminds me of my parents. I shouldn't have to keep my Showbread loving a secret, but I know that if they found out I listened to them they'd flip. If anything, I think it's kinda unbiblical to be against them because, well, for one, they're Christian and make music to God, and two, Jesus accepted people who were "different", like Gentiles or Sinners.

  • aw they're all so young in this. (:

  • I can understand Church of God churches being like this because they believe that music is unbiblical

  • the church was dumb its kinda like discriminating them and they arent suppost to

    be like that

    showbread is amazing

    RAW ROCK KILLS

  • ebay- maybe fye and maybe bestbuy

when it comes to "no sir nihilsin..." ebay only

  • Not true, I saw that one the other day

  • wow, hard find where i am

  • ebay

  • Can't the interviewee realize that what he says is completely an opinion? So say a deaf woman wants to worship - simply because she can't hear the words makes the song bad? An individuals lack of ability to comprehend a song doesn't make the song defective, but rather the listener. There's simply no biblical or Christian background behind the stance of the interviewee; it's claims like the ones he is making, which give Christianity a bad rep.

    E.

  • i remember you guys came to my church and put on heck of a show on with kiros, unfortunatly i had to go somewhere before you guys came up.

  • nowhere

  • So funny!

  • what's the song playing from 0.17 to 0.26?

  • it's called "cry for help".

  • This makes me sad :(

    E.

  • sad to hear a paster say such ignorant things

  • what did the paster say that was ignorant?

  • correction, youth minsister*

  • what makes it ignorint?

  • 1 of the soutern babptists churches i went to had drums and guitars

  • Theres music in the bible times

  • what does he mean the lyrics are not audible?

I can hear them quite well.

  • Thats how we roll in the Penticostal church!!

  • woot!

  • In the words of Larry Norman, Why should the devil get all the good music. Thank you Showbread

  • I SAW THE AFI TATTOO!!!!

and its ok, im also in music ministry.

    of the harder genre.

    I LOVE YOU SHOWBREAD!

  • To me it doesn't matter what type of music you play, it could be rock, rap, country, techno... if the members live and breathe for Jesus Christ, then he loves the music. As long as their hearts are in the right place and their lives glorify him, then why would it matter? They're lyrics would reflect on how they live and its exactly what Christ would want.

  • i remember showbread on the blue jeans, black shirt tours. so crazy to see how much they have progressed from back then. in response to the video, i always love how pastors say "i'm not opposed to moshing and loud music, as long as it's worshipping god" and theres never room to just sing songs about relationships, politics, or whatever. ah well.

  • What a amazing doco on Showbread, very well edited and put together and amazing to see where Showbread came from too, I know myself people Question the music I listen to because Im a Christian but if its Glorifying him and changing peoples life then its says it for itself.

  • i was at that venue, when they filmed this! haha

  • i heard a pastor say that god loves every style of music as long as its glorifying him

  • As one who has been southern baptist most of my life...no offense taken. It was their loss of a blessing of being able to worship with you guys.

Thank you for making Raw Rock and for just being who you God made you. It means a lot to us, your fans and to everyone you guys are around.

  • Amazing. Thank you for posting this.

I go to a Southern Baptist church in VA, and they love me and my tattoos. I know it wasn't always like that, and I have people like y'all to thank for busting down the doors. I was brought to Christ by bands like Showbread, Family Force 5, and Spoken. So thank you. Really.

P.S. I have a couple videos of Josh's recent tour on my page. Dig.

  • I promise not all Southern Baptist churches are bad. Maybe it is the fact that my "southern" baptist church isn't actually in the south

  • this was amazing. thank you!

  • I hate any two worded church. wether it be 'Baptist' 'Catholic' 'Lutheran' or any other I'm forgetting. They're all judgmental, and it's "believe this, do this, or go to hell" It's ridiculous. Whatever happened to just following what the BIBLE says, and not adding any other rules or "Interpretations"

  • the whole message is believe this or go to hell...theres only 2 ways to go

it is what the bible says

  • yeah, and if you read the bible, have the crap the southern Baptists say, isn't in there. they're ignorant selves take it into their own hands and "interpret" it. RIDICULOUS

  • That's awesome. The biggest thing wrong with Christianity is Christians. I'm glad you guys kept to it, you guys have helped me through so much, and have definitely helped me to strengthen my relationship with Christ.

  • LOL awesome!

I went to a private baptist school and I had a relient k sweatband on, and some guy told me how it's not christian and how some friend's on of his got hurt in a mosh pit....

They are also convinced I'm not Christian anymore :P
