  • I watched this when you first posted it, and loved it. I just found it again and I am struck again by what a beautiful job you did. It's awesome.

  • @FinalFirestorm Aww, thanks! :) Sadly, though you're on my friend's list, your username is only vaguely familiar to me. XD

  • @imaginary846 Don't fret about it; I don't use Youtube to talk to people really. It's Emmy from high school.

  • i must say, you have editing skill. you're not the type to add any stylish effects and transitions. in fact, your videos are very simple, yet retain effectiveness. that is hard to find nowadays on youtube.

the song's MOOD was captured flawlessy and brilliantly. lyric-syncing was for the most part spot-on. 5/5 =)

make more videos dude. you need more fans. count me as one.

  • I love it when I get a comment like this every once in a while. Not that I'm trying to be snobbish or anything, but it just keeps me reassured in my AMV abilities and wanting to make more. :D Especially since you're right about the lack of good, simple AMVs these days.... It's all about Sony Vegas and similar programs now. (Not that it's a bad thing, seeing you use Vegas, and it can produce stunning results, but you have to admit that it's spreading like wildfire across the AMV community.)

  • Anyways, thanks for all that you commented on! It's actually especially nice to know that, amid all those fancy Vegas videos, mine can still hold its own in terms of effectiveness. I do really want to be making more videos, but right now I don't have access to my preferred video program, and I don't like the one my laptop has. :( But, I hope to be making more in the future, mainly cuz it's nice to know that there are still people out there who can appreciate my work. :D

    Again, thanks a bunch!

  • i apologize for the late reply.

yea i admit, sony vegas is spreading like wildfire. but thats not the bad thing. its the editing. one can make a simple video with a complex program like after effects. and in the same way, a complex video with windows movie maker.

  • and np dude. you deserve it. i never hesitate to reply on the actual strenghts of the video, and PARTICULAR stuff i liked about the video, instead of a "good job 5/5" type of comment. being an editor myself, i know that its always great to have someone give constructive criticism, and particular things they liked or didn't like. it helps me figure out what fans want.

like i said, count me as a fan. keep it up. ^-^

  • Whoa, YouTube failed to notify me you replied a second time. But okay! In response to your first reply, I agree totally. As much as a SV video can blow my mind, I'm more impressed with super awesome videos that were made in, say, WMM or iMovie.

And again, thanks! While the "great video" comment is always an ego stroker, I still prefer constructive criticism because I like knowing exactly what the viewer liked or didn't like. I like having specifics. ;D Thanks for the support!

  • anytime :)

  • As always, such powerful video... it gave me goosebumps it was so pretty!! So sad, too... 5555/5

  • ...Cuz everybody dies. XD Ha ha, I can never get over that. Saying it makes me laugh.

Thanks for the comment, and the excellent rating! :D

  • good, a Final Fantasy video with One More Soul to the Call. So far, you and LadySephi are the only ones I know that have done so, and I intent to do my own soon. I already have a SH vid with it

the video was really awesome, I love everything that has a good amount of awesome timings

  • LadySephi, huh? I shall check hers out and see what it's like. It's surprising that not a lot of people have made more Final Fantasy videos with OMSTTC, considering how fitting the lyrics are, but then again, it's not easy working with a 6 minute song. That much I learned while making this video. XD I'll be sure to check out both of your AMVs with this song too.

Thanks for the comment! It's nice when people compliment the timings, since I work hard to make sure everything has perfect sync. :3

  • LadySephi does game-mixed videos, but she features FF a lot in hers with OMSTTC

as for working with a 6-minute song, I have only done such a thing twice, and yes, it's hard. but because there's always the risk people find the video boring or in case they're not in the theme, I decided to shorte the track,

you are very much welcomed, one of the things that got me into video-making was trailer music songs, which are basically to do timings, and not so many people do them generally like you do^_^

  • Nice work! I agree about the sepia snapshots adding some great atmosphere and emotion. The whole video has a sort of air of doom or fate, but not really in a depressing way. It's late. ^_^

I really liked the song too...lately I've noticed I enjoy songs so much more when they're paired with a good video. I guess I've just lost the patience to listen to new songs all by themselves. Yup, I'm sooo mature. XD

  • Hrm, that sounded like an oxymoron right there. I dunno if something can have an air of doom, and yet not be depressing at the same time. XD

You got to hear a sampling of Yamaoka's music, HUZZAH! Oh, and you got to hear what Mary Elizabeth McGlynn's voice sounds like too... Man, her voice is divine.

Otherwise, thanks for another comment! :D

  • Yeah, I felt this video was missing something until I added in those special effects, so I'm glad you liked 'em. :3 Thanks for the comment!

  • Wow, this is great! I love the thing you did with the blurry sepia toned segments, I felt it really added to the atmosphere of the overall composition.

  • Awesome!!! I'd give u 10 stars.

  • W00t, 10 outta 5! I can always appreciate that rating. XD Thanks for the comment!

  • Whoa! O:

    Awesome ending~

  • Thanks, Talye! :) I'm happy with how the ending came out myself, mainly because of the way the footage fit together... and everyone dies too. Lol.

  • Love it. I 5'd your video

What is the program you use to make 'em because I hate movie maker

  • Thanks! :D

I used iMovie Maker HD, for Macs. There are some faults with it, and it has me tearing out my hair at times, especially when it crashes, but it's otherwise quite user-friendly, so I tolerate it.

  • Awesome.

We should meet on Gaia, if you still play it.

  • Yeah, I'm still on Gaia! I really only go on to take of my aquarium, collect the daily chance, and message friends, lol, but you can send me a message or post to my profile if you wanna talk. :D

  • Beautiful! I particularly enjoyed the broken up action which corresponds with the drum beats/cymbals. That part was especially well done. (Just so you know - I've been at camp for the past month and the only reason I'm home is because I'm sick. I'm sorry I haven't had much time to read IF. I'll try to read some, but I'm not sure how I'll react to the meds they gave me.)

  • Thanks for the comment! It's good to hear from you again. :D Sorry to hear you're sick, though; really, as much as I would love to see another review from you, I think your health is much more important than that. :P
