forgive me if i'm wrong. but macro means control of the resources, expansions, balance between defense and offense.

on the other hand micro is something that you take control of individual unit to a small group of units.

micro is the control of a single unit or a small group of units.

macro is the constant upkeep of building units and maintain as high population as possibe . this is where the apm kicks in. you often see during the the attack they still go back @ base to build units.

It means just overwhelming amounts of units, expansion and economy. You can out macro a terran with the zerg, sure you lose 4-5 units for every 1 kill, but you are producing so many it just does not matter

Protoss(-probes) cant repair buildings, right? I think Zerg has never been balanced. they are just the weakest and hardest to win with, and thats the true! And whats sad, too is the menu of the Zerg (the bottom controll screen ingame) which is an infected Terran menu... They could have done a MUCH more beutiful menu for Zerg!!!!! as Terran and especially PROTOSS have a very nice menu. I hope SC2 will be better. But SC is a milestone, its great, like EVERYTHING coming from Blizzard!!!

Zerg race has never been balanced, the other way round though - Zerg is the most powerful race in the game. I'm not talking about a single unit being strong, but they get to have the dogs the fastest, which is deadly on small maps. They get to air units (mutalisks) the fastest of all races as well, they produce quickly, are cheap and fast. Everything is cheap for Zergs. Compare units costing the same amount of money - 4 Zerglings, 2 Marines and 1 Zealot. The Zerglings win. Same with others :F
