Thanks for the review on this book. I will read when I get the chance. I found you by searching for Robert Collier's Million dollar sales letters that was recommended while reading another book. I seen the Secret when it first came out and yes it was okay but what's even better and free is the interviews Bill Harris did with some of the participants from the Secret. Found by searching 4 the masters of the secret. Its free but Bill is promoting his Holosync which also comes with a free demo.

I just got turned on to Robert Collier by seeing a quote of his in the secret movie. Since watching this video I cant wait to get the book, I am on a path of higher living and positive thinking and concur with what you said about negative media etc... That stuff is poison, and I have detoxed myself from most mainstream media. Keep up the good work and spreading the positivity.

i AM SO glad that the universal mind has led me back to r collier.I to bcame familliar with his writtings in1985, i was in my twenties and my conciousness was evolving to a higher state. i had been in church all my life, but my thinking and my perception of things moved to a higher level thank you so much, you have no idea what this means to me, i feel as though i've found gold again

Correction: not "The Science of the Ages" but "The Secret of the Ages".

Another mind blower by Robert Collier is a book called "Riches Within Your Reach". The first chapter is a real head turner called...

"The God in You"!

This is very interesting. I thought I was the only one who felt the same about this book.

If you watch the preview movie clip for "The Secret" dvd. The book with the yellow post-it note on the cover is actually a copy of the first edition of The Science of the Ages by Robert Collier which was first published in 1925. In the dvd called "The Secret" the author leads one to believe that it's based on the Science of Getting Rich, but it's actually based on The Secret of the Ages.

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill who started studying the wealthiest people in the 1910s is what this book and "the secret" is based on. Read that book.

I read "Think and grow rich" many times, years ago. It is based on the same priciples, yes. But The Secret of the ages goes into extreme detail about what "think and go rich" barely scratches the surface of.

Actually, the Silva Method by Jose Silva goes even further with the science of thought. He says that through mediation which uses alpha waves (same as sleeping) your mind can attract the things and situatins you are thinking about.

The basic concept of 'positive thinking' is valid, as well as Scriptural. Beware the next step to believing that one's self, not God, is in control. Or that one's self IS God. Oldest trick in The Book & the one the Enemy used in the Garden. I DO agree we do well to think on things that are pure, true & lovely (PHIL 4:8)
