I thought Carlos 1st did this on a Yamaha SG2000 about the time he discovered Mesas and his ultimate feedback dream.I have a feeling that any guitar can sound the same as another...solids, semis and full bodied jazzers can sound pretty much alike depending on the amplification, settings and style of play.All about hype and desireability innit really?Or am I sprucing up the wrong bark?

@dappahand I can't believe people mention that reverb slut Santana in the same sentence as Jimi. Santana is among the most overrated guitarists in history, and I don't think Jimi can be overrated.

@dashofchutmeg All i will say to that is yes Jimmy is not overrated, and i love his playing to bits... Check out his live vids on here, the woodstock ones kick ass, every time he touches the guitar he does somthing unique... Love the way he finishes a lick of with playing with his teeth, but just enough to send the feedack into overdrive. Look at the little details in his playing, theres so much

he can do with ease, its just brilliant.
