I've been a fan of Ms. Stanwyck since 1975, and a fan of you "Angel" since 2007. I never get tired of watching your videos., especially this one and "Turn"
my favorite actress of all time tied with myrna loy. she could do absolutely anything. i recently watched ladies of leisure and was struck by a scene near the end where the other actress has these very showy, theatrical tears compared to how invested and emotionally raw barbara was. there is no comparison. and i think that anyone that doesn't see how strikingly beautiful she was is slightly mad.
I just saw that and I have to say it is now one of favorite movies of hers. It's extremely well written and I loved it. Thanks for posting the rtibute. I think it's well done too.
Thanks for this wonderful video, I just loved it! Do you think I could get these movies somehow? I haven't seen most of them an I'd love to, Barbara is one of my favourite actresses of all times. Thanks again!
Thug885- agree! What was that "something" she had? It's indefinable- some special magic that great stars possess. To me, it's her integrity and dedication that make her special.
Love how the video opens with shots of her incredible legs. I can think of few actresses who aged as well. Usually we apply the word "charisma" to men but Barbara had it in spades. And again, your choice in music is spot on. Kudos for another great video!
lovely tribute, sister

The three "dislikes" for this video were done by Bette Davis, Joan Crawford and Elizabeth Taylor. Just shocking, those jealous b**ches....
Great video, Barbara Stanwyck was so lovely and a great actress.
Bessos 4 ever Miss Stanwyck.

I loved Barbara Stanwyck.
My favorite film actress of the 30's - 50's
It was also fun to watch her on The Big Valley, and her last great role in The Thorn Birds.

Which is the film with Clark Gable at 1:33?
SeleneBowie 3 years ago 2
"To Please A Lady" (1950), the only film that Barbara and The King made together.
Muirmaiden 3 years ago
Stanwyck and Clark Gable were also both in Night Nurse together. He had a fairly small role and it was before either of them were really big stars.

I've always loved Barbara Stanwyck(Ruby Stevens).I did't know who she was though until after she died.
My ex- girlfriend was her relative and I really could see it in her face.
She was amazing and underrated in a time that needed a true superstar and that was her...

You lucky dog. How was your ex-girlfriend related to her?
ge092 4 years ago
Her fathers family were Massachusetts Presswoods and Stevens before that.
DJn0b0dy 4 years ago
She was probably the greatest American actress ever.

I know that famous "smile and wink" at the end always gets me.
Wow she could melt me with one glance.
Thug8855 4 years ago 3
Yes, her smile was very suggestive.A young man I know finds her character as Phyllis Dietrichson more sexy than any modern "star" in a bikini!
