  • lovely tribute, sister

  • The three "dislikes" for this video were done by Bette Davis, Joan Crawford and Elizabeth Taylor. Just shocking, those jealous b**ches....

Great video, Barbara Stanwyck was so lovely and a great actress.

    Bessos 4 ever Miss Stanwyck.

  • Barbara Stanwyck and Dashboard Confessional! Perfect!

  • I LOVE HER

  • BARBARA > ANYONE. EVER.

    TRUE FACT.

  • Will you tell what movie is in 3:18? Thank you!

  • @paulinegail20

That is Barbara with Robert Ryan in Clash By Night (1952).

  • BARBARA STANWYCK <3

  • I love Barbara Stanwyk and thisVideo!

  • It's a shame that Barbara never won a competitive Oscar.

  • Dazzling!!!!!!

  • Congratulations for having entered the Stanwyck howl 3:00 (from movie Executive suite) at the same time of music!!

  • Wonderful choice of music to remember the great Barbara!! Unforgettable!!

  • Brilliant!!! thank you!

  • Barbara is surely golden. I loved her especially in Ball of Fire. Wonderful vid, thanks for posting! =)

  • She's got it all..and more...magnificent actress...and a wonderful person.

How I wish to have been able to captivate her sapphic treasures...if rumours are true that is.

  • Barbara's my best girl, without doubt =]

  • I've been a fan of Ms. Stanwyck since 1975, and a fan of you "Angel" since 2007. I never get tired of watching your videos., especially this one and "Turn"

  • And of course "RITA". my favorite from you.

  • my favorite actress of all time tied with myrna loy. she could do absolutely anything. i recently watched ladies of leisure and was struck by a scene near the end where the other actress has these very showy, theatrical tears compared to how invested and emotionally raw barbara was. there is no comparison. and i think that anyone that doesn't see how strikingly beautiful she was is slightly mad.

  • The very SECOND I saw the anklet, I favorite'd the vid. Anklet = Golden! :)

  • What is the name of this song? It's so excellent! And I love this video!

  • Thank you! The song is "Stolen" by Dashboard Confessional.

  • I loved Barbara Stanwyck.

My favorite film actress of the 30's - 50's

It was also fun to watch her on The Big Valley, and her last great role in The Thorn Birds.

  • what's 1:38?

  • That's Barbara with Henry Fonda in "The Lady Eve" (1941).

  • I just saw that and I have to say it is now one of favorite movies of hers. It's extremely well written and I loved it. Thanks for posting the rtibute. I think it's well done too.

  • everything she does on screen was just right. so beautiful too, hilarius in the lady eve

  • Great!

  • Loved it!

Which is the film with Clark Gable at 1:33?

  • "To Please A Lady" (1950), the only film that Barbara and The King made together.

  • Stanwyck and Clark Gable were also both in Night Nurse together. He had a fairly small role and it was before either of them were really big stars.

  • hmmm... not bad! I enjoyed it. Thanks. Love Double Indemnity. She looks kinda like my grandmother

  • Great video, she's one of my faves!

  • I love your tribute!

  • We need more of your videos on Stanwyck!

  • Belo video. Adoro a Barbara... Parabéns.

  • God I love this video and Barbara Stanwyck!!

  • Thanks for this wonderful video, I just loved it! Do you think I could get these movies somehow? I haven't seen most of them an I'd love to, Barbara is one of my favourite actresses of all times. Thanks again!

  • I've always loved Barbara Stanwyck(Ruby Stevens).I did't know who she was though until after she died.

My ex- girlfriend was her relative and I really could see it in her face.

She was amazing and underrated in a time that needed a true superstar and that was her...

    -DJ N0b0dy

  • You lucky dog. How was your ex-girlfriend related to her?

  • Her fathers family were Massachusetts Presswoods and Stevens before that.

  • She was probably the greatest American actress ever.

  • Can't argue with you there. Certainly the most versatile.

  • Great compilation. I agree, you bring home her sassy charisma with this clip. Thank you.

  • Thank you! Fantastic video

  • She could be so lovely....but she always maintained that hard edge....

  • Brilliant work. Barbara was a great talent and an exquisite beauty. There's just "something" about this woman...

Thanks for helping perserve the memories of these beautiful people.

  • Thug885- agree! What was that "something" she had? It's indefinable- some special magic that great stars possess. To me, it's her integrity and dedication that make her special.

  • I know that famous "smile and wink" at the end always gets me.

Wow she could melt me with one glance.

  • Yes, her smile was very suggestive.A young man I know finds her character as Phyllis Dietrichson more sexy than any modern "star" in a bikini!

  • that would be me

  • I doubt it- this was 15 years ago when we watched "Double Indemnity" together! :)

  • Bloody Brill! You really captured Miss Stanwyck's Loveliness!

  • Love how the video opens with shots of her incredible legs. I can think of few actresses who aged as well. Usually we apply the word "charisma" to men but Barbara had it in spades. And again, your choice in music is spot on. Kudos for another great video!

  • that was amazing.

  • Sorry I missed this one!! Great, loved it!

  • Wow. Really brilliant job.

  • Great tribute and a great song, too. Can you name artist and song, please?!

  • Thank you! It's "Stolen" by Dashboard Confessional.

  • This is a wonderful tribute. You can see the incredible versatility Barbara had just by watching this video!

  • God, I love that girl from Brooklyn.........

  • Watch Turner Classic Movies the 16th of this month starting with Night Nurse that morning and her other movies all day and a doc at night..

  • Great! She is one of my favorites. Nice tunes.

  • Awesome!

  • Miss Stanwyck was a lovely looking lady! Thank You!

  • Fantastic video!

  • Great job! thank you so much for this! I wish I had written this song for her.

  • Great as always!!
