IF they did it and covered it up, where is the body? Gerry was not 'missing' when the police arrived. IF Madeleine had fallen and broken her neck/hit her head behind the sofa, and because they had used Calpol or whatever, Gerry panicked and ran away with her and was supposedly 'seen' doing so......how did he get rid of the body so quickly, and so well that it would never be found, AND get back to the apartment in time to be interviewed by the police.

I'm not sure where you'd find something like that.

Search for "Eriksson & Lacerda 2007" on yahoo and click the first result. It is a journal article entitled, "Charlatanry in forensic speech science."

The authors conclude, "To sum up by saying that there is absolutely no scientific basis for the claims made by the LVA proponents is an understatement. The ideas on which the products are based is complete nonsense." Further, "No qualified speech scientist believes in this nonsense..."

Im not sure why you are so threatened by our software. Perhaps you are biased? Maybe associated with polygraph? The results of the use of LVA in the feild is where you can see the success of this software. Also, a new independent study will be published shortly. Double-blind polygraph vs LVA. ;)

There is an IMMENSE problem with your selling a product that will determine people's veracity in investigations and pre-employment screening, given that said product doesn't accurately detect lies! We have already seen the results of reliance on the polygraph and CVSA (also inaccurate pieces of junk). MANY truthful people are denied access to jobs due to the incorrect results of these two. The last thing we need is another pseudoscientific device that determines people's fate.

Except when said inept software is used to make very important decisions, like in pre-employment screening for law enforcement agencies. LE agencies have been using the polygraph for years now, and many innocent people have been turned away from the job because of false positives. The CVSA has gotten really popular recently, and the same thing is occurring with it. Now LE agencies are expressing interest with the LVA, which, like both aforementioned devices, is absolutely scientifically unsound.

I suggest you review the research I have offered. Science has revealed that the LVA is entirely BS. They claim that the creator, a "Mr. Liberman" I believe, is some sophisticated mathematician that developed the code for the software. This guy in reality doesn't even hold a college degree and the software code is actually written in basic math! On top of that, what the LVA measures as "deception" is merely a result of the digitization process. It would analyze the sound of a car the same way.

The CIFA study was conducted like a polygraph test. LVA is not polygraph and doesnt work like polygraph, therfore it requires more than asking yes or no questions. This is what the CIFA study did.
