  • @nadiaTeeze u don't buy hamsters just to breed them! you buy them because you actually want to love and care for them you sick fucktard!

  • hmmm i did this b4 i bought a calico, a long haired, and a black bear hamster and i kept 1 because he was the only long haired black bear hamsters and there were calico 1s to etc.

  • Hi! I have a question! I am very interested in breeding hamster... I have two hamsters 1 boy 1 female, They live together and they sleep together I think They are one month old. I bought them on the pet shop, So could they breed together if they live together in a cage? or Do i have to separate them?

  • i have a syrain hamster and a teddy bear hamster they right alot so i have to keep them in seprat cages but like when i make a play pen around me out of the cage they dont fight and my female the syrain hamster has camw in heat and they have mated idk what would happen i meen they mated for 30 mins tra8 no joke so i dont know if she is pregnat and i dont know what to do please help she has made a big nest in one of her cages and she sleeps alot at night and day please help

  • @wtfworld1 This is probably no help at all now, but I'm certain that your hamster would be pregnant. My hamster came into heat today - shame I'm not allowed to breed her with my brother's hamster :(

  • ohsearching for a guy that would treat me well

  • 1: the second hamster pic was SO cute 2: I love you man for making this guide! now LaaLaa And Herbie will have the perfect hamster babies!! I am not looking for a specific coat color but I want a specific personality Laalaa is the most PERFECT well behaved hamster that I've ever had Herbie is okay but do U think that if I work with Herbie long enough to make him the perfect hamster do U think that Laalaa AND Herbie's babies will be perfect?

  • Unfortunately there is no guarantee that "taught" behavior is passed down genetically :( But, if you play with the babies and condition them to you with treats and love you've got a chance to of repeating the behavior traits of your Laalaa.

  • @nadiaTeeze all right thanks I think that since I have a prefect hamster (laalaa) she NEVER BITES NEVER!!!!! She NEVER runs away she's so mellow and clam all the time!!!! so I think that I have a easier chance of getting nice hamster babies laalaa AND Herbie are both Syrian hamsters I had adopted Herbie from my local Humane Society. and I bought laalaa form Petco best 10 dollars i've ever spent if U want 2 see laalaa I have a vid up on her just go 2 my channel

  • @nadiaTeeze thanks for the vid but my I relized that my hamster laalaa is too old to have babbies..... =( but I might get a 2 dwarfs and breed them! dwarf hamsters sell for a lot. like the avrage is 9$ to 15$ 15$ is a lot per hamster! like if they had six pups and if I sold them at 15 dollars a pop..... that comes out to 80$ all together! that's a lot of money for a 12 year old oh and I do have experince my friend used to do this so I've learned from her

  • Hahaaahahaa I can't belive you made a video refering to mendel and didnt even get a pedigree hamster, you knew nothing about there genotype, they could have carried any recessive gene xD

  • how long did this take?

  • wow thats really awsome! i bet that was alot of work.. i appreshate it!

  • my hamsters mated a few weeks ago and when can i put the male back in with the female and the babies and will they fight?

  • first question are we talking syrian hamster or dwarf hamster?

  • wow. you have intellegent designed a new hamster race! you are god! only there's actually evidence for your existence. lol

  • How do you get the female and male hammys to not fight? I want to start breeding but I'm afraid if I put them in the same cage they would attack one another.

  • put ur cages side by side so dey can lokk at each other through the bars den after about 2 weeks put the female in de males cage den if dey fight take the girl out but use thick gloves to get her out cuz dey will bite either way

  • I had no idea about the ruby red eyes and the bad gene. My cream and dilute mated, and produced red eyed babys. The female, mom, has raised them well, but her litters are small. Noticed that some of the pups stopped growing, (1) and one was suddenly dead, no apparent reason. The rest are doing great, and have white coats, and RED eyes....

  • then maybe you have a rare new breed or they are just albino which is also cool:) i have a male blackbear hamster and i am gonna get a female blackbear soon :)

  • just put 1 female hamster and 1 male one it will breed rite?

  • well i dont want to because kinkadgou my male hamster is a syrian and syrians are solitary hamsters so they wont mate they'll kill

  • i have 2 hamsters one is called Kinkadgou i hav had him since january and he is a silver grey syrian He was 6 weeks when i got him but i dont no if he is a girl or a boy but he has an inch long tail and no sign of a male sex organ i also hav a girl hamster she is older than Kinkadgou.her name is Youssarian and her tail is shorter than Kinkadgous so is she a boy? Also when i make noise around her she screeches and the same when i pick her up is this normal......please someone reply thankyou

  • are these dwarf hamsters?

because mine are winter whites or siberian hamster

  • In Philippines some of the hamsters are 50-100 pesos or 1-2 USD

  • there are sooo many videos on breeding dwarf hamsters, not other ones..? :/

  • I've raised different kinds of hamsters what are you looking for?

  • I'm planning on getting something like a syrian..

  • The big thing with the syrian is once the female is pregnant you must remove the male from the cage as she will try to kill him.

They make great pets. You can pick them up and rub their bellies. They tend to be very sweet if correctly socialized. When they stuff their mouth pouches, well I think its priceless.

  • i have a syrian hamster and when i got it they said it was a boy but my old hamster looks and acts nothing like it because i think the one i have is a girl how do i tell ?

  • you should be able to tell if the hamster has testicals, if it does it is a boy but if it is just no extra on the bottom it is a girl... if this didnt help just google an image of the difference of a male and female hamster k hope i helped

  • hey breeding is bad. lots of animals in shelters die becuse they have no homes due to breedin. They get put down frm behavior like this. if you care stop!

  • hey this is very cool information. i am going to start breeding hamsters to feed to my snakes, i think i will try to get a specific pattern out of them just for shits. thanks!!!

  • im going to do the same. except i have like A LOT of snakes. so I need to like breed mice for my little snakes and hamsters for my bigger snakes and savannah monitor. AND for those people that will give me thumbs down. ITS THE CIRCLE OF LIFE! SNAKES NEED TO EAT TOO!

  • I'm watching this again because we're discussing this in my Biology class. Maybe I can convince my teacher to show this in class. I already told him about it and he thought it was pretty cool.

  • Finally someone who shares the same views on genetics, traits, and patterns as I do! :)

  • Nadia - effect versus affect - you confuse these

in your videos several times, here at 4:51 it

    should be affect.

  • farvision- damn. I am so a typo slob. argh. Thanks for pointing it out.

  • Very interesting video. I don't think I would have the patience to wait out the results. You make very good points about breeding and evolution.

  • Largo64- Hamsters breed quickly. All you have to do is keep track of birth records, throw couples in cages and keep them tended. They do all the sex work themselves :0)

  • Hee hee!I suppose they do. It would be pretty difficul artifically inseminating a hamster, I guess!

  • You shoul've (Wait... can you patent biological creatures? Possibly not)

  • Well done, you actually got your reverse panda hamsters.

  • WTF? I thought I left a nice supportive comment about this impressive video, but now it's gone? Hurumph, YT blows sometimes.

Anyway, Nadia, your work with hamsters is impressive! Such dedication! You have far more patience than I could ever hope for.

You must have thrown a party when your hamsters finally began to express the reverse panda coat you were working toward. That was great work!

  • that was really cool, my sisters kinda dabled with breeding but were limited by the number of homes we could place

  • cool

  • That was an fascinating video...and cute too. Thanks again, NadiaTeeze!

  • "Don't produce animals if you don't have a future home for them." Sell that as a slogan to both the ASPCA and Planned Parenthood. Great video. Genetic traits interest me... as do furry animals.

  • SnerdWilliams- I wish that was a global motto. A simple idea that would change many things. Thanks for watching this bit of dry toast.

  • ok, yes a tad dry for me, but whatever it was worth it for the clip at 3:38, as I had a dream once of a place where you could go in a room and sleep with baby bears, though mine were polar bears and there were lots of people with them, the pic was totally along the idea : )

  • By the way, I saw some pictures of eyeless toothless whites on the internet, a day before they died (pictured together with their healthy siblings). I almost started "having something in my eye". Whoever breeds two Wh hamsters should seriously burn in hell!

  • Serbatheist- Yeah, it's wrong to willfully breed something genetically inferior. There really is no need for it.

  • Seriously, what the hell is happening!!!??? Several incredibly cool videos in a row! You are setting the bar extremely high :-) I wouldn't be surprised if you went into quadruple digits very soon subscriberwise.

  • hamsters rule!

  • atheismislogic65- "hamsters rule!" yes they do!! If I could be anything it would be a hamster with a kick ass caretaker. Cuddles and eating all day.

  • really great, very interesting ^^

inverse panda hamsters... thats something that a creationist would never be able to accomplish.

but how many inverse panda hamsters do you need to get a working population of inverse panda hamsters, that can be sold to people that know nothing about the subject so that all offspring will also show the pattern without any problems of inbreeding?

  • lol I was debating with a creationist and it made me think back to when I was breeding hamsters. I still see the reverse panda coat in pet stores and it has been 9 years since I wrapped up the reverse panda coat breeding program. I don't know though if these are direct desendents of my hamsters or someone else out there is crazy and thought "what's a great way to whittle away a year of my life? I know hamster breeding for a specific coat."

  • Since the two controlling genes work more like a dial then an on/off switch it would suprise me if the coat was kept up unless someone made a real effort to continue breeding it.

  • That's awesome, and gotta love the music, too :)

  • I know... I need to convert some new music. I give away my video game addictions to everyone. Thanks I miss the hamsters sometimes. Cute buggers.
