4.take cold water and drip slowly over the sugar cube (slower the drip the more yellow the drink becomes and stronger the effects)
this method will work to an extent.
you can also set the cube on fire after you poor over cube but i wouldnt recommend it cause most people can't work with fire well. should flame up blue though, then caramalize then water then your in for the ride.

you guys are not knowing what you are doing! Pour the shot over the sugar into the glass and then burn it! Then distinguish the flame with the water and stir the molten sugar!
you are thinking of the bohemian method. this is the French version of absinthe. I have tried each way and i must say that the french method is much better for taste. and your pallet will thank u for that.

Was that frost on the bottle? You're not supposed to refrigerate or freeze it, just keep it in a cool room (cellar). You also may want to try adding more water and using a slower drip. Still... it could've been alot worse. At least you had real absinthe and prepared it properly, which is more than you can say for many of the vids on here.
Yeah we froze it. Tasted pretty great, regardless. And after this video was made, we got a better cup to pour the water with. In the end it tasted wonderful.

2. place spoon above glass
